“An officer with the Anchorage Police Department has been charged after driving a patrol car while impaired on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson last month, according to an official with the department.

In an email to Alaska’s News Source, department spokesperson Renee Oistad confirmed that 24-year-old Ethan Copeland was charged with operating under the influence while driving an unmarked APD patrol car off duty on Dec. 9 on JBER. Copeland was also given a drunk in possession of fi****ms charge.

JBER Security Forces responded just after 7 p.m. after receiving a complaint about Copeland, who is still employed with the police department, according to Oistad.

According to JBER 673rd Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Copeland was invited to an on-base holiday event. When the officer arrived at the event, he appeared to be intoxicated.

Oistad said that Copeland is still employed with APD; his arraignment is set for Jan. 29.

Two investigations into the incident are still being conducted, Oistad said, including a criminal investigation by the Office of Special Prosecutions and an internal investigation by APD Internal Affairs.”

“An NYPD cop is facing criminal charges for sharing a suspect’s credit card number with bumbling buddies who tried but failed to use the digits on a Starbucks run, police and prosecutors said Wednesday.

'Lunch on me guys!' Officer Andy Urrutia allegedly boasted in a text message chain with his friends after sharing an arrested woman’s credit card number, expiration date and security code on March 23.

Urrutia, 23, also sent photos of the credit card, which was among the woman’s seized belongings while she was being held at the 52nd Precinct stationhouse in the Bronx.

But the card number was declined by a Starbucks barista. Urrutia’s friends tried to run the card four times before giving up, according to court records.

When the arrestee learned her card was used and declined while it was sitting in an NYPD stationhouse, she reported the fraud to authorities.

It didn’t take the NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau long to trace the crime to Urrutia, who was taken into custody early Tuesday after finishing a midnight shift.

Investigators charged Urrutia with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, petty larceny, official misconduct, attempted identity theft and unlawful possession of personal identification. He was suspended from the force following his arrest.

A Bronx Criminal Court judge ordered him released without bail. He’s due back in court Feb. 6.”

“A former Gastonia police officer is accused of selling drugs and using her badge to buy guns for people. Those are just some of the 32 felonies that 26-year-old Officer X**a Dajanae Dove faces out of Gaston County.

Dove was arrested and charged Tuesday morning. She faced a judge on Wednesday, who upped her bond from $250,000 to $1 million. Dove also got a court-appointed attorney to represent her.

According to the district attorney, police learned about it all when a confidential informant had a picture of information only law enforcement should have. Officers had searched an informant’s phone and found an image of a background check that was obviously conducted by an officer.

An investigation revealed that Dove used police equipment to run searches for criminal warrants and check license plates and provided that information to other people..Dove helped sell ma*****na and fentanyl…Dove is additionally accused of helping others obtain guns.

“A Bernalillo Police officer is in hot water once again. Officer Jeramie Nevarez was at the center of KRQE Investigation, captured on lapel video after he stopped a family at gunpoint as they were rushing to try and save their dog’s life.

Now, KRQE News 13 has learned that the officer was recently arrested on battery charges. Court records show Nevarez was arrested in Sandoval County last week, booked on misdemeanor battery charges by Rio Rancho Police.

Court records show Rio Rancho police responded to a domestic violence call involving Nevarez on November 15. The officer’s report states surveillance footage and interviews gave him enough evidence to charge Nevarez with battery against a household member.

Records show Nevarez spent two nights in jail as the battery case against him is pending. Whether he’ll continue working as a cop with Bernalillo Police is unclear.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said investigators received a phone call from Crestwood Medical Center stating a female patient disclosed being sexually assaulted by a Killen Police Officer during a traffic stop. Investigators then traveled to Huntsville and took a statement from the female.

“A D.C. police officer was arrested for allegedly driving his marked police cruiser while under the influence early Saturday morning.

Officer John Bewley was arrested in the 1600 block of Connecticut Avenue NW about at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to court documents obtained by WTOP.

Police said that he had apparently rolled up on a drunk driving stop of a woman made by other officers.

The woman who was pulled over first said that she was on the phone with her boyfriend, who is a D.C. police officer.

According to the court documents, Bewley, who was not in uniform, apparently pulled up with his overhead lights on and told the female driver to leave — 'yelling at the suspect and telling her to leave the scene with him'— and ignored officers’ commands to stay away.

Officers then noticed that Bewley had a strong odor of alcohol and asked if he would submit to a sobriety test.

He refused to take a sobriety test when the officers asked and he was placed under arrest and handcuffed.

D.C. police told WTOP that Bewley was arrested for driving under the influence, resisting arrest and obstructing justice.”

According to the arrest report for Christopher Bivins, 29, a GPD officer, he met the victim on Friday night at Simons, a nightclub, while off duty. Bivins and the victim were previously in an intimate relationship.

Bivins and the woman got into an argument as they were leaving the club. They left in separate vehicles. On the way to her apartment, the victim got multiple calls from the front gate about someone trying to get into the complex. When she got to her apartment, her door and doorframe were damaged.
