Hello all of you socially isolating folks! While we did have our next show scheduled for April 18th in Carbondale, we have canceled it due to pandemic-related reasons.
But that doesn't mean we're not doing anything! As we're all closed off from our friends, our family, and the social gatherings we are used to, we want to do a show reflecting that and what we're all going through.
And for that, we need your help.
Our theme for this show is going to be "Together, Apart" and it's going to be made up to recorded stories from you as well as our typical musical interludes. Doing the live shows is something about Your Stories South that I really love, but, as that's not a possibility, I still think we need to be able to keep up and in touch with each other as we can.
Stories can be about the pandemic and self-quarantine or anything that might seem related. Perhaps a time in your life you felt isolated for non-world affecting contagion reasons. Typical story lengths run 5-10 minutes and can have any tone you like. Maybe for kicks you could record yourself telling the story to those you're sheltering in with? We'll be bringing all of these together and editing/filtering as appropriate to make the show for you.
