I got to try a onewheel for the first time. Keeping balance and learning to steer was tricky at first, but once I got it, it was really fun!
I'm Mike Boyd and I make videos documenting my process of learning skills in a short amount of time.

The prize was definitely worth the effort.
I wanted to see if I, a mere mortal, could conquer Ninja Warrior's Salmon Ladder, and how long it would take.
Here's how I got some decent bunny hops in only 2 weeks.
Have you ever tried Processing? I'd definitely recommend it to those who want to get started with app building on android. (Not an ad, by the way!)
Playing a guitar with a bow is definitely tricky, but it makes a pretty cool sound.
How will I solve this die puzzle?
Answering you penny farthing question!
Most annoying skill ever.
I had never climbed before, and wanted to set myself a challenge to see how long it would take me to reach a 6C. How did I do?
Here's some useful tips to get started with the Rubik's if you've always wanted to complete one!
Kieran Duncan took his passion for climbing to the next level, by being able to document the process using his drone in the middle of his climbs.
Scotland in the winter isn’t the ideal weather to practise outdoor sports. So, I considered starting climbing. And of course, I had to set myself a goal.
For anyone interested here is my training program:
ONCE a week I did about 40 mins pull up training. First with the towel. When I got tired I moved to regular pull ups and I finished with dead hangs for as long as I could. I'm not sure if this is the best way to train but I certainly noticed the difference and it's pretty easy to train just 40 mins a week.
Now on to the rest of the Ninja Warrior course…
Steven Bridges is a card counter, meaning he always has an advantage over the house while playing Black Jack. Although it isn't cheating and purely strategic, many Casino do not hesitate to throw him out when he is winning too much money. How injust is this do think?
I tried to learn card counting with Steven Bridges. After 4 days of practice, we played a mock Black Jack game to see if I was able to win good money using this new skill.
Card counting is a technique used in Black Jack to get an advantage over the house without cheating. It's a very difficult skill however. Would you take on learning it?
After struggling with my first pottery attempt, I expected painting it would be a piece of cake. Turns out, glazing is much harder than I expected! Still pretty happy with the results, though.

I tried my hand at pottery for the first time. It was way harder than expected... but I'm quite proud of my little pot and milk jug!
This surprisingly easy trick will make you look super strong!
Have you ever tried pottery? It is a fine skill that requires patience and expertise, but it is a lot a fun and worth the process! What skills do you want to learn in 2024?
Here I show you some trick to lit fire even when the material you are working with it wet.
This is a fun party trick to play on your close ones during Christmas!
Set a goal for a time, not an objective. This tip has been a huge game changer for me, and I hope it will be for you too.
Sharpening a knife is definitely a useful skill. So I finally set myself to understand how to use a whetsone (turns out, it's supposed to be wet!)
Definitely one of the coolest looking trick you could master for the holidays. Be careful though, it is needless to say quite dangerous!
The tablecloth trick looks super cool in slow motion. This is the king of party tricks... if done right!
Trying out "port tongs", supposed to save a bottle when the cork has been broken. Might come in handy during the holidays!
I was really interested to see how the breaking glass with the voice trick looked like in slow motion. You can actually see the vibrations going through the glass before it shatters!
