For the past two months, I have been running a series of webinars on Missions and Discipleships. I found the webinars hugely encouraging to see others who have the same desire to serve Him in Missions.
Yesterday, I wrote the following farewell email to all participants:
Hi everyone,
Once again, thank you so much for attending this series of webinars. I was reading last night, and I was very excited to do missions once again. I want to share this little blurb with you:
"...God had commissioned Paul to take this gospel message to the gentiles. For Paul, this was not merely an interesting career choice. It was the completion of God's plan for the human race. Paul's mission has been predicted by the prophets of old, in anticipation of the coming kingdom of God. Paul was to bring the history of the world to its preordained climax." - The Triumph of Christianity (Pg 57).
Do you see this in your life? That doing missions, whether helping the poor or healing the sick, is not just because it was an 'interesting career choice' or something we do on the side because we are Christians. Perhaps this is the very plan God has prepared for each of us even before the foundation of the world to save humankind. The whole world is groaning and anticipating for you and me to do the work God has formed us to do.
Where you are right now, whether at school or working, Singapore or overseas, is not random, not by accident, nor mere fluke (chance). He has weaved events after events and fashioned generations after generations to bring you and me to this point on earth. And it is at this very moment we decide whether we will obey Him or not. I have heard many testimonies of people who say they wasted their life chasing careers and what not and only obey God at the age of 60 or later. My question is, why don't we start pursuing right now while we still have youth and energy on our side. Why spend the last few years of our lives to seek wholeheartedly after God when we can do it for all of our lives?
If you do, how much are you willing to bet your life on it? For me, I am willing to bet my whole life in Jesus through overseas missions. Even though we are in Singapore for this season, Wai Jia and I routinely have conversations on where we think God is taking us. We talk about our children's futures. We prepare ourselves in prayer and spiritually and not stay complacent. The training ground is not later. It is now.
Whatever we do, may we not be a fool who invest in the wrong things in life and regret at the end.
He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to give up what he cannot lose. - Jim Elliot

I have uploaded all my slides + notes and additional resources at http://clifftam.com/webinar-slides/. If you miss any webinar, you can download them and have a general idea of what I taught.
If you haven't, please leave feedback here. I appreciate your feedback to help me to become a better teacher.
Lastly, I will be starting another series of webinars on Relationships (Singlehood, courtship, dating, marriage, and parenthood) in late Oct. I also need help in preparing the right materials. If you can spend a few minutes going to this survey and jot down a few questions you thought of or struggle with relationships (https://forms.gle/ZrHQmPFGeaXC9aN16), that will be great.

Ok, enough advertisement. Sorry! This is the last email I am sending to this group.
Farewell, and God bless!
