As I reflect on my experiences over the last few years, I feel that I've been through more hardship than I would want anyone else to have to go through and that those things have changed me.
While, at the same time, understanding that my experience was so largely shared.
I don't just mean COVID, and I don't just mean capitalism and burnout. I mean making the decision to go no contact with my mother, losing my Grandfather (Papa♡) to Parkinson's, and barely being able to afford to feed myself at a job that expected mandatory OT while subjecting me and every other employee to inhuman expectations.
What I'm saying is that I made it work until my body and mind wouldn't let me anymore and millions of people have it just as bad and worse.
So if you read this far, I guess I'm saying it's been a long road so... what made you glad to be self-aware this week?
