I hate when someone makes a celebrity death about themselves, but I need to in this instance. Without Gilbert Gottfried & his Amazing Colossal podcast, Hats Off wouldn't exist. He inspired me to make content that showcased comedy legends to younger generations.

When it came time to promote my early content, I used the community pages from his podcast, mainly Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Listener Society to build up my base. The show also became a great tool for research, both in my work & on our podcast. I've tried to give him as much credit as possible for that, but it's still not enough.

While he will be remembered as one of the greatest comics that ever lived, I will always remember him for his infectious love & passion for movies - a love he displayed continually with warmth & humor on a weekly basis on his podcast. He was an invaluable inspiration. Thanks for everything, Gilbert. My heart goes out to his wife, kids, family & friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-7NfkaxeLw

RIP Gilbert, thanks for the decades of laughs.
