Pod People tease vinyl details, set alarms!

Just to make sure everybody's aware of this :
Pod People's long-awaited new album "Oblivion" will be available for preorder on the 30th of August. This brutally limited edition will come on head-turning royal blue/clear blue + silver mix vinyl, deliciously crafted by the one and only Vinyl Records Makers.

100 copies + 5 test pressings. No doubt those will fly off the shelves so wait not!

Probably a post already in the punk column but I’ll double post in here as Pot Belly Bar welcomes Sydney’s Phantoms to town, with supports from Mauler, Aglo brings his Star Trek death metal to town, Thantu Thikka & Loose Cannon round out the action this weekend, Saturday August 3rd.

I missed two key missives in this weeks column for shows happening this week and in August.

Smith's Alternative hosts Boondall Boys Undermines & King Hits this Saturday 27.

Undermines are a killer local band you gotta check em out.

The USAs Spy come to town in August & main support locals Bloodmouth sent me an all caps manifesto on my lack of coverage of the show as being a quote “GLOBAL CARNIST CONSPIRACY” & among other more colourful expletives not fit to print, accusing me as being a “CHEESEBURGER STUFFING STOGE OF THE CARNIST AGENDA”.

Be that as it may (I read this while sampling Anthony Bourdain’s favourite sandwich - the mortadella and mozzarella Dijon sandwich) I thought this was cute.

Still, I’ve set a precautionary buffer zone around my house clearing any bushes and shrubs that might house a ghillie suit wearing weirdos just in case.

To take the heat out of this situation I suggest everyone attends this mid week madness The Baso Canberra on Wednesday August 7
