I am attacking this Friday with positivity and giving out more High-Fives. Let's get it started:
🤩 HIGH- FIVE: Nashville-based Captain D's on getting their first-ever location open in the United Kingdom. That's awesome.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Auburn University, Troy University & The University of North Alabama on getting football games scheduled in coming years and keeping money in Alabama. I love this idea. I, also, love Jacksonville State University playing Troy University in the Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. (IS4S) Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery next Tuesday. Outstanding job by everybody involved in all of this!
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Amtrak and their new route between Mobile & New Orleans. It is killing it since it started service back in August, with over 46,000 people taking trips so far. They were shooting for 72,000 passengers for a full year, so things are going great! Fantastic addition for the City of Mobile.
HIGH-FIVE: Penn National Insurance's John Foster on the recent announcement he is moving into the role of President of the company effective July 1st. Really good guy and Penn National is one of our great partners at Truitt Insurance & Bonding. Excited for what is ahead.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Chick-fil-A on expanding their chicken empire with their first location in Singapore. I remember thinking they hit the big time when opened in the Riverchase Galleria food-court back in '86.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Samford University law school alum and current Belmont University - Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business Dean Brittany Schaffer on receiving the Drew Alexander Lifetime Achievement Award from Nashville's Society of Leaders In Development (SOLID Nashville). SOLID aims to improve the future of the music industry by strengthening its professional relationships and educating a diverse group of future executives while serving the community. My son Zach Truitt is a student in her department and she is doing an outstanding job. Keep up the fantastic work, Brittany (and let's make sure Zach gets a job next year)!
