Authorities Held Demolition Drive At Wetland in Sopore Area

Sopore, Oct 28 : Authorities by the direction of Divisional Commissioner held a demolition drive at Rakh e Hygam 'Wetland' area of North Kashmir's Sopore sub-division of Baramulla district on Thursday.

The drive was comprisingly held by the Forest Department, Wildlife Department, Muncipal Council Sopore and Sopore Police.

Pertinently, locals from decades were illegally cultivating paddy on this land.

Meanwhile locals demand intervention of higher ups into this matter.

Srinagar, August 24:(GNS) Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Tuesday said that more than hundred militants have been killed so far this year in Valley.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS that total of 102 militants have been killed so far this year including three militants killed in an operation in Sopore.

Quoting IGP, Kashmir Zone Police wrote on its official Twitter handle, " Today, by the collective efforts of , , and people of Kashmir have led to neutralisation of more than 100 militants in the year of 2021 so far in Kashmir division: IGP Kashmir,".(GNS)
