I handed over to my alma mater, Ghana Senior High School (Ghanasco), a fully renovated Dormitory block for the Cabral and Gbanzaba Houses.
Cabral House was my home during my days at Ghanasco, and it was a nostalgic feeling returning and reconnecting with some of my mates and seniors on Friday.
Renovating and modernizing the building that houses the Cabral and Gbanzaba Houses, when the state of the structure was brought to my attention, is my hearty contribution to improving conditions for learning for our children.
My wife, Lordina, also sponsored the repainting and replacement of the nets at the girls dormitory, known as the Lordina Block.
Happy 60th anniversary to our school.

A man has reportedly been sentenced to death in North Korea for smuggling copies of Netflix’s blockbuster series “Squid Game” into the country.
According to Radio Free Asia (via Variety), authorities were led to the man after they caught high school students watching the series. The report states that “Squid Game” was smuggled into the country from China through the use of a USB flash drive. “Squid Game” is not available in China but remains popular thanks to piracy websites.

Ursula Owusu on MoMo tax: Anyone who can send GH¢100 is not poor
The minister for communications and digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has stated that any Ghanaian who can transfer over GH¢100 through mobile money is not poor. According to her, if you can send more than GH¢100 then you definitely must be taxed.
Her comments come after the minister of finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, announced the introduction of a 1.7% phone transactions levy payable by mobile money users per transaction above GH¢100.
Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV on Thursday, November 18, 2021, the communications minister explained why it is time to tax Ghanaians.
She stated that any person sending money that is above GH¢100 to another cannot be considered to be poor because that amount is big enough, therefore, that person must be taxed.
Would you pay the MoMo tax and why?
