We have had an incredible time traveling! We made some costly mistakes and some funny ones. We survived homelessness and theft. We saw things, ate things, and experienced things we never imagined. We literally fulfilled our dream! The best part is yet to come. We know our hearts belong to the open road. Now it's time for us to take those mistakes and turn them into lessons so we can properly prepare for our next nomadic journey. We shall meet again living and rolling on four wheels (hmm maybe more , who knows). Please be safe Black and Brown people. Take up space! Enjoy the outdoors and every highway on your journey.✌🏿🫶🏿

Tulsa showed us a cute little St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We hit downtown for a block party hosted by a local bar where we tried Irish food for the first time! **Spoiler alert: IT BANGS!!! We ran into the Tulsa Humane Society, so Miles got to stop by and say HI! And we ran into some very creative local vendors selling art that called to us.

Sunday brunch was Blunts and Brunch at Dope space, chill vibe, free green, and delicious food and drinks.

We have said goodbye to Myrtle Beach and we on to the next one. On our way out we made our to the beach for one last time and treated ourselves to some vegan cheesecake and fancy matcha lattes from .juicebar. Our time in MB gave us the space we needed to figure out our plan and move forward. I hope that Tulsa brings us the same comfort.

Hippie fashion staple # 2:
Denim jackets with all the patches! What better way to wear your politics and lifestyle on your sleeve than to literally stitch it onto your sleeve! We both enjoy collecting things, but vanlife means we have to be really intentional about how we use our space. So we collect patches and create wearable art!

When you sit down somewhere for long enough, you start to accumulate STUFF! Being in the AirBnB has been calming and settling after a chaotic summer. But it also gave us space to put a bunch of things we didn’t really need. We’ll be out of here in a week which means it’s time to downsize again! The first pic is all the things we gave away. The second pic is all the things we have left. It feels really good to be this light and portable, to be able to go anywhere anytime. Nomadic life is truly within us and we are on our way back on the road!!

On every road trip we find cute little shops and flea markets with all sorts of unique and beautiful things. We both like to have little collections, but vanlife means space is limited. So now we only collect things that we can wear like bracelets and patches!

So we are thinking about building out an extended cargo van. Today we saw a 16 passenger van! It's a low roof but plenty more space and better gas mileage than a RV. For what it's worth we are both 5'5" so the bend isn't terrible.

We can't imagine a better way to start our day than a morning beach walk. We try to hit the beach anytime we can; it's less than a 10 minute drive from our home!

Your favorite hippie stoners are back!!!
Life hit us hard but The Shakurs are stronger than any storm. We have decided to settle in Myrtle Beach for the fall and winter! The best thing about being a digital nomad is being able to chase the weather.
We still are focused on purchasing a new RV next year. This has experience has taught us so much and motivated us to chase our dreams even more. We also have a car now! Meet Micro Dose 🥰.
Any other digital nomad snowbirds? Where are all the millennials taking advantage of the remote work lifestyle?

Next up! What are we doing for housing ?!
Well, there's always more than one way to get your goals accomplished! While we work on the goal of purchasing an RV we still want to live life as nomadic as possible. So we have decided to rent Airbnbs and or extended stay style hotels for 1-2months of a time. It has everything we need for a family whose whole life fits in a Toyota 4Runner!! And it stills way cheaper than an our apartment in Maryland outside of DC 😩🤣.

First up we have our new wheels!! So, we knew that we didn't want a car to tow with our RV so getting a bicycle was already in the plan. After the RV was a fail we decided that an E-bike was the best plan! So now we have two cool E-bikes that goes at least 15 mph and can travel around 20 miles on power with no peddling! Of course, we plan to peddle too 😆. We are going to use our bikes to get us places within a 7 mile radius of where we are staying.
Since our bikes fold down we will throw them in the trunk of a Uber/Lyft when we want to go farther into the city. If we have a different city we want to visit we rent with Turo . When we are traveling from one state to the next we rent a SUV. Any one else have an E-bike to commute or get around town? Did you give up your car for other modes of transportation?

You wake up determined to create a new path to the same dream! The devastation of our van/RV journey hurt really bad. I (Rodarius) did not want to go back to stationary living and having a lease....well we thought of something great! We'll give you all the details tomorrow!

The last 48 hours have been an emotional whirlwind to say the least. Our new to us class C was a lemon! We returned it to the dealership and got our money back. We have decided to post pone our nomad life until next year. We are gonna take some time to get ourselves back grounded a create a better plan for next year. Thank you everyone for your love and support.

Introducing Too Trippy!!!! We had to upgrade our lifestyle in multiple ways! We are determined to live our absolutely best life physically, mentally, and emotionally. Rodarius has gone from a 44 to a 34 and Amanda has gone from a 24 to an 18!!!

When they said you will STAY working on your van they ain't lie!!!!! 😩😩 So we are preparing to buy a travel trailer (micro dose) to expand our living space. The Class A or Class C idea isn't working out. Well we decided Trippy will be our bedroom and 1/2 bath. Last weekend we made your way to Kentucky!! It was supposed to be a trip to purchase our class A then turned into a trip to trade our van for a smaller car. And finally it was vacation that lead to us looking for a travel trailer to tow with our van!!
We had a family day that we spent hiking and learning about dinosaurs. Dinosaur world is incredible. It really makes the point clear that this land does not belong to us. A sad reminder that there were creatures here for us. We really enjoyed the hike and museum. We finished it by the three of us enjoying Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.

To celebrate my wife's 33rd we took Trippy for her final trip with us 😭! No worries "Too Trippy" will soon make their introduction. Then we can really get this full time nomad life started. We definitely need more space lol.
We visited Jane's Island State Park in Maryland and as you can see it was beautiful!!! This trip was peaceful and relaxing! We hiked, grilled over the fire, went to a cool museum and saw an otter experience. We even tried crabbing for the first time!

Downsizing is HARD! Moving into a studio apartment is one thing but 2 adults and a dog in a conversion van is a whole notha beast!! How do you know what to keep? What is replaceable? How much do you really need? I feel like our answers to these questions constantly change! What's y'all answers? Help us newbies on our nomadic journey!
