Art Culture is a documentary style film about the artists and arts community in the Greater Houston area! The film will include interviews with city officials, local artists and the general "arts community", that will also include businesses which support the local arts. With a primary focus pertaining to how the nation views Houston as a city most notably marked by its Oil and Energy trade and th
e space program, referencing the famous phrase, “Houston we have a problem!” In fact, within the state of Texas, Austin is often crowned as the artistic hub not withstanding its lack of diversity and spectrum of art forms and mediums. This film will argue that Houston rivals the nations most notable arts communities and offer an open dialogue on what the city needs to do to support and endorse this flourishing arts district. The purpose of the film is to clearly showcase that Houston has a tremendous arts community that rates among the top in the nation. Midtown Art in the Park will feature a portion of the film during their event as a projection design and Roadhouse Studios will continue to seek other venues for local screening. As this project is still currently in production, Roadhouse Studios is still reviewing new artists and art related businesses to participate in the production.
