Yesterday we did a little holiday plant trivia, so let’s talk about holiday literature today! 📖

We all know the classic children’s book “The Night Before Christmas.” The text is the book coming from Clement Moore’s poem, which gives us the modern idea of Santa Claus. 🎅🏼

BUT did you know the name of the poem ISN’T “The Night Before Christmas”? Though commonly called that because of the first line, Moore gave it a different title.

EDIT! This is indeed a Thanksgiving Cactus! They are often confused with Christmas Cacti, but you can tell by the shape of the leaves! Thanksgiving Cacti have pointier edges (nicknamed “Batman leaves” by some). Christmas Cacti have a more scalloped edge.

Hi there, friends. We went a little dormant here for awhile. In October, Hannah’s Nana passed away, and plans to release our first podcast were replaced with grief. As we had recorded a Halloween episode, we’ll be re-recording our first episode with plans to release in December. (And we promise to get back to being active on our accounts again!) for now, please enjoy this picture of a chonky boi from our walk in the park the other day. 🦝🍁
