Scorpions and other arachnids are known to take down larger preys in both wild and captivity.
Feeding huge prey items to your scorpions and arachnids is self preferences.

Scorpions are predators if you are too cringey or worried about feeding them bigger preys then don't do it.
It is not advisable to feed them larger preys at your own risk.
