Last Friday night, my friends and I got to turn a vision into a reality.

Last November, in the midst of significant spiritual warfare, God gave me the idea to put together an event where others who were hungry for the more of God gathered together to press in, give the Holy Spirit room to show up with power and to worship Him-Unrestrained. Over the ensuing months, God assembled the perfect leadership team for this event and it couldn’t have gone any better!

I had the privilege to teach on healing, and afterwards, we got to pray over multiple people who needed physical and emotional healing. God moved and brought healing, encouragement and peace.

We’re gonna continue to hold “Unrestrained Nights” once a month. If you’re wanting to encounter God and get a fresh touch from Him, come on out!

Why do I ever doubt God?

I never had any desire of owning a motorcycle/something similar to a motorcycle until I drove a minibike a few months back that my dad was gifted. It unlocked something in me-a sense for a new adventure and a new skill to conquer. I started studying for the written motorcycle exam, took it and passed it before having a bike as a prophetic declaration that I would soon own one.

I found this Yamaha SMAX Scooter on Marketplace and knew it was the one for me. It’s only 155cc but easily goes 70mph, which is what I needed as part of my commute to work. The problem was that it was outside my budget. Disappointed that I wasn’t able to talk the seller down, I figured it wasn’t meant to be to be…Until later that same day within an hour timespan, God provided the last $400 I needed to buy it!

I’ve been driving it around the last two months and, shortly after getting it, I felt the Lord say that I was gonna get my license by my birthday (June 10th). I went to schedule a test in my area only to find out they weren’t offering any tests. The next closest site was over an hour away. “Welp” I thought to myself, “guess I’m making the drive.”

Over the last week I’ve been practicing the specific maneuvers I’d be tested on and wasn’t feeling super confident on some of them. Even though God gave me that word of getting my license by my birthday, I doubted my abilities which lead me to doubt His word. I realized I had a choice to make-I could stand on God’s word, or I could drown in doubt.

Even though filled with anxiety, I chose to stand on God’s word.

I took my road test today and passed! 3 days before my birthday, I got my license. Just. Like. God. Promised.

Couldn’t have asked for a better day to test out either, as it was sunny and calm as opposed to the extremely windy days we’ve had throughout this week. God lined everything up perfectly. He amazes me!

Lesson learned: when God speaks, believe it! Don’t doubt it.

The average person has between 12,000-60,000 thoughts per day.

There are 7.5 sextillion grains of sand on the whole earth-300,000 per square inch.

Psalm 139:17-18 says, “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.”

What kind of thoughts does God have towards those whose faith is in Him? Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

God is CONSTANTLY thinking about us and has nothing but GOOD thoughts towards us.

Rebuke any thought you have about yourself that isn’t in the mind of God.

Thoughts rooted in shame, insults, mockery, doubt, condemnation, accusation, confusion or deprecation aren’t to be given our time and attention. They come from the pit of hell and they must be sent back there.

Our thoughts influence the way we live. Start thinking about yourself the way God does and watch the impact it’ll have on your life.

I can have hope for every circumstance in my life because of these three words-“He Is Risen.”

We don’t serve a dead deity-we serve the One, True, Living God! And because He defeated death, every difficult circumstance we go through can have life breathed back into it.

If you haven’t already, today is the perfect day to surrender your life over to Jesus Christ. His blood covered your sins so that you could be in right standing with God and live forever with Him. We couldn’t do this on our own-only Jesus could do this for us. Don’t hesitate, today can be your day to be justified by God!

Hey everyone, there won’t be a new episode for this coming Tuesday.

Earlier this week my Grandpa Ernie went home to Jesus. There wouldn’t be a “Testimonies with Terry” if not for the seeds of faith he planted early on in my life. He walked faithfully with Jesus for 90 years and I’m so thankful I got the chance to say “see you later” before he passed.

“Your life is like the morning fog-it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”-James 4:14

Life is so short. Focus on what really matters-loving God and loving others. I’m thankful to have had a grandpa that exemplified that.

God wants to heal YOU!

For most of my walk with the Lord, I knew it was important to pray for healing over people, but I didn’t have much faith it would happen because no one ever got healed when I prayed!

But everything has changed for me since Abbe and I went to the Randy Clark conference a few weeks ago. We saw hundreds of people healed of a variety of different issues-chronic pain, asthma, ALS, Parkinson’s, migraines and so much more. One lady even had a leg that was shorter than the other, and after receiving prayer, her leg grew to match the length of the other one. If that doesn’t supercharge your faith, I don’t know what will!

I’ve carried that increased faith for healing with me back to Minnesota, but more importantly, I’ve been acting on that faith. Faith without works is dead-James 2:17. So when I saw a woman with a knee brace on and saying her pain level was a 9.8/10, I laid hands on the knee, prayed, she felt heat in the knee and the pain left. And when another woman said she pulled a muscle in her back that was causing great pain, I prayed over the back, a cooling sensation came over it and she felt 80% better. After praying a second time, she said the pain was completely gone!

I don’t share those testimonies to glorify myself, but to give honor and glory to the one who does the healing-Jesus Christ! All I’m doing is being obedient, acting in faith and trusting that Jesus will do what He said He would do-heal the sick.

That also involves risk. I’m aware that, unfortunately, not everyone who receives prayer for healing gets healed. Why is that? I have no idea. If we had the answer, then we’d fix it and everyone would be healed. Healing isn’t an exact science or formula to follow-it’s faith put into action. The risk of “looking foolish” by praying for someone and them not getting healed doesn’t compare to the joy you see in people when they do experience healing. I’ll always be willing to take that risk.

As humans, it’s easy to get lost in our own minds and over-complicate things. That’s what would happen to me when it came to praying for healing-I’d get hyper focused on trying to say the “right” prayer and I felt as if the healing was dependent on me and how I “performed.”

But there is no one “right” prayer for healing. Essentially, you speak to whatever pain or dysfunction a person is experiencing, command it to leave in the name of Jesus, and listen for the Holy Spirit to reveal any other words of knowledge needed in that moment.

And the prayer is never dependent on our “performance.” It’s Jesus that brings the healing-not us. Again, we just have to take the risk, make ourselves available and trust that He is going to show up and do what only He can do.

To you reading this, I pray this stirs up your faith and encourages you to go after healing. If you’ve given your life to Christ, then you’re qualified to heal. Step out in faith and show people the love and compassion Jesus has for them. Remember, faith is spelled R-I-S-K.
