🛑 Stop people from leaving your page by providing them all the information they need to make a decision 🛑

How can you do this? 👇🏼

By using (you guessed it) effective Instagram highlights!

If you don’t know, Instagram highlights are those cute little circles that show up under people’s bios. They are populated from your past stories that are saved in the Instagram archive. The one you update most recently will show up first.

As a business, you should treat them as a mini website. If you don’t take anything else from this post take that information and commit it to memory.

They should provide your customers everything that they need to know without ever having to leave your page and search for information elsewhere.

In this age of instant-gratification and a multitude of options when people have to search for information they might search elsewhere and end up on a competitors page.

🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t make people leave your page to find the information they need🙅🏻‍♀️

Read that again, I’ll wait.

A few ideas for your highlights could be:
-About Us
-Updated Business Hours
-Client Feedback/Reviews
-A list of products/services
-Mentions
-Features

Remember to keep them updated, relevant, and use Instagram highlight covers that are on brand.

Here’s a quick story about why I’m in Ireland. I have been obsessed with the tourism industry (hotels, restaurants, you name it) ever since I can remember.

I grew up traveling with my mom as a travel agent, so my obsession with traveling started early on.

Although, the magic of planes has been replaced with stiff muscles and waking up fresh in a new place has been replaced with jet lag in the recent years, the buzz you get being in a new place is the same.

I’ve never experienced anything like the tourism industry in Ireland. The amount of people that come here and feel like it’s their home away from home after their first day is unparalleled.

My longer term goal is to own something in the hospitality industry, and Ireland is a perfect place for that dream. While I’m working towards that goal I love supporting others in the Irish tourism/hospitality industry achieve their own goals.

The Irish hospitality you read about isn’t just a stereotype, but felt in every pub, restaurant, and hotel I’ve been to across Ireland.

It’s been sad to see the tourism industry take a hit this year, but I know that we will bounce back stronger than ever (and hasn’t it been kind of nice to walk around Galway without being stuck behind your groups for a bit 😂)

I know everything is up in the air (if I have to read the phrase ‘during these unprecedented times’ one more time.... 🙄) but the resilience I’ve seen in these people is unmatched.

That all being said, I’m here in the DMs if you need to chat or want to bounce some ideas around.

Its September 1st 🍃. Also, it happens to be my favourite month (I know you were all dying to know that)

New month means new monthly goals 🎊

I like to write down long-term goals and then figure out actionable steps. From there I can turn the steps into monthly and then weekly tasks ✔️
