Brown or White Only... Rich Lives Matter...

Why this disparity? The crude, if dismaying, answer is that ours is a world in which the lives of a few matter significantly more than the lives of the many, a disparity that intensifies along geopolitical, class, race and caste lines. The poor, the vulnerable and the victims of war clinging to the sides of a rubber dinghy are not “mournable” in the same way as the wealthy white man figured as an “explorer” or “adventurer” who goes to sea in an expensive bespoke vessel.

Ours is a world in which the lives of a few matter significantly more than the lives of the many.

Okay just in case you are wondering, I published my last video on June 7th, 2021 and while I am taking a much needed hiatus from my YT channel, I promise you the wait will be worth every minute.

While I will focus on politics from time to time I now intend to pivot and speak to matters beyond the flawed man who is no longer President and Biden, beyond the every day wheeling and dealing of the US government.

Frankly, I no longer feel the urgency to report on the current resident of the White House simply because he is not Trump. While Biden clearly has his flaws, pretty obvious to even a diehard Democrat like me, at least we know he is not a walking, talking wart for which I am deeply grateful.

So where does once go from here? Well, if you've watched me, you know I dare to go where many don't.

I don't want to give any more away than I absolutely have to so please stay tuned while I sort out the kinks and bring you a whole new My Two Cents....

Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

At a time when voting rights are under threat one would imagine the Democrats would circle the wagons to ensure that For the People Act, the HR 1 is passed.

They are... all except for the lone stand out, Joe Manchin, Senator from W. Virginia.

Are his reasons valid? Does he even care? Or is he a Republican in Democrat clothing or just another opportunist looking for his share of the national spotlight?

For decades Israel has benefited from America's largesse. The recipient of almost four billion dollars in aid every year, Israel has called itself America's greatest ally in the Middle East.

This Thursday, Israel's defense minister Benny Gantz, is expected to arrive in Washington on the heels of a murderous campaign in Gaza to ask for $ 1 billion to replenish the batteries of the Iron Dome Defense System.
