EID MUBARAK 🌙 Our inclusion club hosted a party this afternoon to celebrate this week’s festivities and share cultural experiences. We shared food and had a wonderful time. We are so proud of our boys. To all of our wider community, we wish you a blessed week.
Prison Me No Way! visited Audenshaw today and delivered a series of workshops to year nine. Another excellent day raising awareness of the causes, consequences, penalties, and impact of crime.

The presentations and interviews yesterday were absolutely superb with 9 of our Senior Prefect Team presenting to the Principal, Mr Taylor, the Vice Principal, Ms Breakell and the Head of Student Leadership, Mr Sutherland.
For now these boys can feel very proud of their accomplishments before the real hard work in Student Leadership and driving our school forwards begins.

Over the last 2 weeks, 112 Year 10 Geography students have been out to complete their GCSE fieldwork over 5 separate days. They have done a fantastic job and we have had some lovely comments about their manners from members of the public! Well done lads! 📋📏
Here are this term's recommended reads which have been selected to complement the English Learning Journeys for Years 7, 8 and 9. These are books that the boys can find in the library.
These two exceptional young chaps were invited to compete individually in the Greater Manchester Athletics competition this Saturday after their excellent school performances in the regional rounds.
E Ehikhamhen won gold in the 200m running just over 24s again and cruised to victory.
E Odi won gold in the Triple Jump with an amazing 12.62m jump.
Both will now represent Greater Manchester in the National championships 👏🏼

May is Share a Story Month and this year's theme is Feast of Stories. The picture shows front-facing books in our library which have been chosen according to the theme. These books will be promoted in form-time.

Today, we welcomed , who shared her inspirational, educational, and emotional story. Alison captivated year 9 with a presentation on the negative effects of social media and the links to youth violence, joint enterprise, the reality of youth violence, and the importance and power of love. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Year 11 photographers attended Huddersfield University and participated in a master class in degree level photography. All students embraced their inner model while striking a pose.

Some Year 8’s also enjoyed a Medical Diagnostics lesson and an E-Fit lesson in school this week.
All of Year 8 enjoyed taking part in a Robotics Event in school this week. They learnt how to programme a robot and got to see this in action
Today, our student leadership teams - head boy and deputy, senior prefects, prefects, sports leaders and the school council had the privilege of meeting the Mayor of Tameside CLLR Tafheen Sharif today. # studentleadership

It’s STEM week this week in DT and year 8s have been participating in the tyre challenge. Preventing tyres from going to landfill they have been developing concepts for what they could be used for. As part of their Apprentice style pitches they designed some great logos for their brands.
In term two, our year 7, 8 and 9 boys focus on these areas of their learning journeys. Here are some recommended reads that may be found in the library, these books relate to what they have been learning about and the texts that they have read.

What a great day we've had with all age groups playing rugby 7s at Kings School Macclesfield. In a competition which saw 720 boys play rugby, there was absolutely quality everywhere.
Some of the best rugby playing schools in the country attend this prestigious event and our boys did themselves proud:
U12 - Plate Runners Up
U13 - 3rd place playoff winners
U14 - Plate Semi Finals
U15 - Plate 1/4 Final
U16 - represent us proudly in their final ever Saturday for the school!
Well done to all involved - we have a few more midweek competitions to go and also our Edinburgh tour before focus moves to summer sports athletics and cricket.

Another successful World Book Day at Audenshaw School. We had a fantastic day celebrating a love of reading and fictional worlds 🌍📚📆 It is days like this that we are proud to work with such exceptional young men and exceptional colleagues.

To celebrate careers week, the MFL department had some very special guest speakers in today to talk to pupils about how languages have helped them in their careers.
Mr Robson, Northern Correspondent for the i, Mr Svensson who works in marketing and Mr Jaloh, bio chemist all came in to speak to year 9 about how speaking different languages has boosted their career trajectories.
Thank you so much to all 3 guest speakers. The boys did themselves proud too with their intelligent, mature questions👏🇪🇸🇫🇷
