Times Turn Around was robbed this morning. I spoke with one of the ladies who works at Dunkin’ Donuts and according to her, the person who robbed them, robbed them with a hammer and stole bananas too (dropping most of them on the way out). Just glad everyone is safe and okay!

ICYMI: Our “Grab and Go” program provides meals for students who are engaged in remote learning. Meals will be available for pickup each weekday. Meals are free to students through August 31.

Beginning Tuesday, September 1, meal prices go into effect -- this includes all meals delivered to classrooms and served during “grab and go.” Students are given an opportunity to apply for reduced-price and free meals. The application is available at https://www.lunchapplication.com.

Breakfast and lunch meals will continue to be free for students who attend a school that is involved in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. A list of schools are available at https://www.gaston.k12.nc.us/cepschools.

This Saturday is the Back to School "Splash into Wellness" Drive-Thru Book Bag Giveaway. The program takes place at the Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services, 991 West Hudson Boulevard, Gastonia. Children ages 5-12 will receive a free book bag full of school supplies (while supplies last).

According to a source: a blue Chevy Yukon with a SC tag pulled up to the Tony’s protest and proceeded to not only stop traffic but throw conferdate flags out to the crowds of protesters across the street from the peaceful protestors. Another man with a gun on his hip went out in the street and was screaming at people in their cars to hit him because they asked him to out of the road.
