We love casually cheering on our casual friends in comedy for doing great things! Last night in Bellmont, CA, comedian Vince Royale performed in front of a sold out room at The Stand Up Comedy Club for his comedy album taping! We love seeing Vince casually succeed & look forward to the album!
In 2022, Vince & his wife Ciara were in town from L.A. & reached out about being in visiting Ciara's family. This not only prompted us to have him on our podcast (S7 EP10: Casually Cooking On High), but also having him headline our showcase at The Golden Hoosier! We hope to catch up with Vince & Ciara the next time they pop back into our city!

If there is anything as a Saturday appreciation post, this would be it! 💕
When creating work, it is very easy to get caught up in not doing enough & wanting more, that sometimes you forget how far you have come. When I (Mollie) first started recording Casually Mollie, I was not sure what was going to be of it. My friends & I were just sitting around a cell phone, playing around to see what we could have stick. The audio was horrible so I would do research on YouTube to see what would be a better fit. From there, I started renting my friend’s studio space. This took place on Saturday mornings where I would interview local comedians & entertainment in the area. It was a blast being able to channel my journalism side! I loved meeting new people & getting to know others better.
From there, I have had interviewed touring comics coming into clubs, many of who I have looked up to which was a dream come true, & now independent comedy shows have been a part of the Casually Mollie umbrella. Thank you for casually surrounding me with such good people. Never forget the people who take time out of their schedules to help you follow your dreams. And never be ashamed that you may need to keep learning.

Welcome to The Casually Mollie Podcast! The best way to describe this podcast would be CNN: your comedy (& entertainment) news network. If you’re a casual listener to the podcast, you’re probably familiar with how we have a new interview each week. For those who are first being introduced to the podcast, here’s a casual summary of how it all began:
Having a background in theatre & journalism from St. Louis University, Mollie graduated in 2013 & ran a theatre company for five years (GoodPeople Theatre Co.). She produced plays in Cincinnati (OH), Covington (KY), Chicago, St. Louis, & other cities in the Midwest. However, when Mollie began doing stand up comedy, she decided to still produce theatre as a side project, but switch focus to going to open mics & performing in the St. Louis comedy circuit. Inspired by the many comedians she would listen to at her desk during her day job, in addition to the talent she would witness performing at comedy clubs, Mollie decided to go back to her journalism roots & begin interviewing different guests each week. Each interview included a ‘casual topic’ which she thought would help a listener get to know a guest better. From starting out on a phone in her loft, The Casually Mollie Podcast matured to recording out of the MidCoast Studios in the .Zack (located in Midtown, St. Louis) & has expanded to a network of comedians, musicians, & entertainment from St. Louis, as well as around the country.
