This week is the first of a three week barrage of great new titles from Mysterious Press, our in-house literary mystery imprint. Tomorrow, we start with Lisa Unger’s dark, suspenseful holiday novella, CHRISTMAS PRESENTS, which RL Stine says is “a cold-blooded nasty thriller … I loved it!”; next week, we’ve got THE HOUSE OF LOVE AND DEATH, Andrew Klavan’s newest mystery featuring “the perfect detective” (Kirkus), Cameron Winter; then, on November 7th, Charles Cu***ng’s newest BOX 88 thriller, KENNEDY 35, which features a manhunt for a war criminal hiding out in Dakar after the Rwandan genocide. They are all well worth reading and I hope you’ll take a look and support your favorite independent mystery fiction publisher. Also, The Mysterious Bookshop is hosting events with all three of these terrific authors: Lisa Unger here 10/26; Andrew Klavan here 11/6, Charles Cu***ng here 11/21. All events start 6 PM at 58 Warren Street, NYC. Come on down if you’re in the city!
