The lazy way to automatically pin your Insta posts to your Pinterest account 🤓 Look we are no @pinterest experts, but we happen to be time-poor like many creatives in our industry and are always on the look out for any way we can crosspost content WITHOUT having to use a paid third-party app (so as lazy/on autopilot as possible!). We've also historically seen great success from posting our digital products to Pinterest (pointing to our website shop + @Etsy shop and @creativemarket!)
So when we saw this handy feature on our Pinterest the other day - we had to set it up! And we promise it's super easy 👇🏼
✅ Step 1 - Go to your Pinterest account settings.
✅ Step 2 - Go to 'Claimed Accounts' and follow the prompts to 'claim' your Instagram account. PS. Make sure you are signed in to the correct Insta account on your browser/phone if you have multiple accounts.
✅ Step 3 - IMPORTANT Select which board you want to pin all your posts to. You may want to create a specific board that mentions your Insta account in the description. Also, select the 'publish posts from last 90 days' so it automatically pins all those good Insta posts for you and gets your content on Pinterest. Hit 'allow' to enable the changes.
✅ Step 4 - Done! Import may take 48-72 hours and then you can check back in to see all your Insta posts on Pinterest and then you can make any title/description changes if you wish.
PS. It does not seem to autopost reels unfortunately but we recommend making a habit of posting your reels to Pinterest weekly anyway just so they do make their way there 🤓
