We had a lovely prompt by .in.motion.pt a few weeks back on some digital products ideas for physical therapists in the pregnancy and postpartum space — and it got our imaginations flowing with ideas 💡

COMING SOON 🤫 — It was only a matter of time before we started working on a template all of our own. Not only because we know how helpful website templates can be for a range of businesses niches but most importantly we know the value templates hold for the creative process AND going through the process of making a site template helps us to learn what our website design audience goes through if they create their own SS templates.

Which brings us to WHY our templates will be different 👀

If you know us well by now, you know that our process templates are created for a specific need or pain point. We hate to reinvent the wheel or create something we know someone else is already doing very well. So when we hear you mumbling that there are probably more than enough site (gorgeous) templates out in the wild already 👉🏻 we get it!

Which is why our templates are going to have a leeeeeetle twist to them, to tackle a pain point we deeply felt that actually had us holding off on website templates for the longest time. Something that we haven't yet seen on the scene yet.

We are working behind the scenes like crazy to get our first template out during Q1 of this year. 'I'LL BE HAPPY WHEN...'
A fantastic ProcessPause coming at you today, inspired by a blog post we spied on .

The Arrival Fallacy is the illusion that joy lies at the destination ahead, which can cause you to wish away the present in order to get to this 'ideal' future or place of being. And probably every single one of us are guilty of this at some point or another!

▪️I'll be happy when I book xyz clients
▪️I'll be 'successful' when I buy a new car
▪️ I'll be content when I have $X in the bank

Sound familiar?

So, bringing it back to business (where we spend a crazy amount of time), there are many many prompts to focus on to bring you back to the present and how you can be happy and fulfilled on the daily.

Here's some of ours:

👉🏻 ' story' made me happy/laugh today
👉🏻 Working on 'a new site template' brings me joy
👉🏻 I'm celebrating accomplishing 'making the bed this morning'
👉🏻 'client communication' was better than yesterday
👉🏻 'solving a tough CSS issue' was a favourite moment of today

And if you can't find a positive from your job on the day? Remember that your work doesn't define you — so what else has made you happy/content/fulfilled today? 🧡 Ps. Our pet's antics are often the bulk of what makes us happy on the daily 🤣

And while this absolutely doesn't mean forget your goals or aspirations and striving for better, it is a good time to reevaluate the importance you are placing on the outcomes of these goals and where you could flip your perspective to be feel happier/content/fulfilled/successful daily.

We are so excited to announce this one because the content planner has to have been one of the very very first templates we created for website clients and it's been a blessing ever since. While we 🙏🏻 that business owners seek the expertise of professional copywriters where they can, we also know that sometimes the budget just doesn't quite stretch that far. We also know (being website designers ourselves), that we can't/do not want to write content for websites because our focus is the visual design itself — so there's an issue that needs addressing.

The Squarespace Help Guide is a fantastic addition to any website designers document library, as it's easy to send out to clients during the offloading phase as a standalone guide or combine with your live/recorded training tutorials 🖥️

It includes all the links needed for basic site editing such as changing images and formatting text through to how to access billing or adding a contributor to the site. The template includes no lorem ipsum (just the wording we use for our own clients) and you can also add more pages as needed for any more specific site editing needs or updates (i.e. explanations about the new FE update or things like marquee editing)

EXCITING NEWS — The Website Content Prompt Workbook is being updated to now include a Notion dashboard and Canva version! 🥳 This one has been in the works for a while and a big job, but we have it covered 🙌🏻

We know we say this is about every template, but this has to be one of the most popular OG templates we've created and holds a special place in our hearts — because it helped us see the light during those initial dark days over trying to get blood from a stone *ahem* content from website clients.

In an ideal world, copy would be written by the real magicians of the written language, professional copywriters. But when they don't fit the budget or project scope, then as the website guru you need to be able to guide your client to what you need from them. This template acts as the basic foundations of what's needed for website content, starting from general pages through to product information and also sending the content if writing it out in Google Docs or other.

PROCESS PAUSE #2
In an ideal world, our business or career will meet all 3 points - it will provide us with happiness, fulfilment and of course, make bank 🤑 This makes it sustainable and something we can see ourselves doing until we retire, right?

But this week's Process Pause is all about when everything gets too much and you are pulled in too many directions or have too many opportunities. Even having all the best templates and resources (we know a good shop for those 😜) can still leave you stuck as to what the heck to do next.

If you are hit this point (and apart from hiring a biz coach or consultant), we suggest taking an hour and just doing ONE THING that either makes you: feel fulfilled, happy or brings you income. Just one, and this may help that block you are having and you will notice that whatever you do may naturally hit the other points too without you necessarily focussing on them.

Here are some ideas we've brainstormed:

Biz things that can make you feel FULFILLED -
🧡 Offer a free audit or resource to an engaged follower/customer to help them on their journey
🧡 Give some time to a charity or cause you love and ask them how your specific business can give back
🧡 Ask some local biz people you admire to a lunch or show appreciation for the work they do for your community

To make you feel HAPPY -
🧡 Work on a passion project or product that brings you joy, just you. You are your audience for this, so have fun with it
🧡 Write a post about how you started vs where you are today. Perspective has a lot to do with internal happiness
🧡 Buy something for the business that makes you happy, it could be as simple as a new notebook or a new app. You work hard, you deserve it!

To make you MONEY
🧡 Create a digital product within the hour, something quick and helpful you can sell immediately
🧡 Offer consulting or vip hour where people can pick your brain right now if they have pressing questions or issues
🧡 Run a sale on a particular product or offering, helping you to spotlight something you already have that you think people will love and need to have in their life.

PROCESS PAUSE #1

Don't send that email just yet. Send it tomorrow, or Monday. Can it be kinder, can it be less emotionally charged, could you be quoting more after a proper pause and think? Could it less (heck, or more) aggressive? Think it over and come back to it

If you are part of our email list, you will have gotten the full story of our little mini series called Process Pauses. We love a bit of mindfulness and development but recently have felt like we needed something a little more business-focussed to bring us back to the present.

Woo woo affirmations and mantras? Great! 🔮 We love a good guided meditation too. But reading a prompt about pausing before sending a charged email, or gassing us up to send the biggest quote of our lives? That's what we want and what we've started writing down to keep in front of us on the daily. So we'll be sharing a few that have helped us slow the heart rate down and cut through that anxiety that can bubble up a bit as a busy business owner.

Ps. And they are a lot better than getting 'calm down' tattooed on our wrist (which we don't think about...most days 🤣)
