Cars and Coffee is the event where you go to see a wide range of cars that span from classics to modern. You never know what you will expect to see when you go. All respect goes to Mercedes and McLaren for constructing an awesome whip.
I feel as though the SLR is a misperceived supercar. At a glance you would think it was just an S-series - but there's more that lies within. A 617hp aluminum 5.4 equipped with a supercharger paired up with - at the time was a questionable 5-speed automatic. Alongside the power train, the other features included carbon-ceramic brakes that had a heat resistance of up to 2,200°F.
The interior is what has me super drawn to the SLR. The exterior silver color compliments the accented red interior - which by default wins my heart over. The looks and feel of a Mercedes added by lightweight parts from McLaren.
This was my first Cars and Coffee experience in Nashville and I must say that it didn't disappoint! Looking forward to the next one
