Trying to get the perfect shot can be somewhat tricky!! Manuavering at high speeds whilst dancing with waves and chases castles at sunset… this nearly killed my drone!! So a very lucky last minute find and just 15 minutes away, I find this lovely harbour to call home for tonight…. And maybe tomorrow! It has a beautiful beach to explore!!

Dunnottar castle Scotland;
This is why I love My Vanlife!!
I’ve wanted to capture Dunnottar for years, so I set my self a challenge before leaving this amazing country.
With persistence storms, heavy rain, raging winds and massive flooding, it took me a week to get from west to east.
Finally arriving at Stonehaven I thought the gap in the weather was going to last, but this morning the winds were back.
But never the less flying into a head wind, and a tail wind to bring it home and with my poor Mavic 2 practically on its side!! I managed to get out over the sea and get some footage.
Fortunately the wind dropped in the afternoon and my mini 3 pro captured the rest. 😃

I will be filming with Jules Cooper a professional Forager and Wild Weaver over the next 12 months capturing all 4 seasons in this magical beautiful space she has created. Jules is a very special soul with so much knowledge. Having fun with the lovely Nigel Brooks from Quirky Drift filming and playing with drones. In 2010 we moved to Ynys Mon. Our 6 acre field was rather barren and compacted with only sheep grazing it. So I decided to send the sheep to pastures new and plant 5000 trees. From the sky you can clearly see our land, it looks rather like a sea horse and is very unusual in its shape compared to the surrounding fields. Since we planted the trees we have increased the diversity of flora and fauna tenfold, we have woodcocks, jays and dormice that have moved into woodlands as well as an abundance of woodland plants…it very magical and perfect for foraging events, weaving workshops and even wild camping. Our little cottage was built in the 1600s and has the most wonderfully inviting magical energy and a very cozy feel when the wood burner is lit. A perfect venue to relax and eat nourishing food after wildcrafting the land. A single parent Amy had spent all her savings on a readymade campervan so she could take her young daughter on adventures.
After a few niggles with the electrics she decided to have them checked at a local garage. It wasn’t good news!!
The whole electrical system was condemned as dangerous, and she didn’t have the money needed to have them repaired.
Meeting people and making new friends at a Vanlife event, helped Amy to have her electrics sorted, and so begin a new and positive journey into the future.
