According to an office memorandum released by the Establishment Division, the directive instructs government employees to comply with the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1964. The order explicitly states that government employees are not allowed to use any social media platform without obtaining proper authorization.

The memorandum emphasizes, "Government employees cannot express opinions or facts that affect the reputation of the government." It also prohibits employees from speaking out against government policies, decisions, or matters related to national sovereignty and dignity.

ATHENS: The port city of Volos in central has declared a state of emergency following an inundation of dead fish, a crisis that local residents fear could severely impact their livelihoods.

Cairo: has taken significant action against online , blocking 392 websites involved in fraudulent activities, according to security authorities. UAE: ’s airports experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic and flight operations by the end of July 2024. The total number of passengers across the country's airports rose by 9.2 percent, reaching 8,478,548, up from 7,757,629 during the same period in 2023.

Data from the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) shows that the number of flights through , Salalah, Sohar, and Duqm airports grew by 5.7 percent, totaling 63,219 flights in July, compared to 59,778 flights in the same month last year.

Muscat International Airport saw a notable increase in traffic, with 7,571,148 passengers, an 8.9 percent rise from the previous year. Flight operations at Muscat International Airport also grew by 5.8 percent, reaching 56,498 flights compared to 53,386 flights by the end of July 2023.

Salalah Airport experienced a 10.3 percent increase in passenger numbers, with 827,486 travelers in July, up from 750,251 the previous year.

Sohar Airport reported a dramatic surge, with a 114.4 percent increase in passengers, reaching 45,126. The number of flights at Sohar Airport also rose by 46.6 percent to 384 flights, compared to 262 flights in July 2023.
