The world's largest plastic waste pyramid was pictured on Thursday in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt. Unveiled ahead of the COP27 climate summit, the immense structure, which took five days to build, is 10 meters tall, 12 meters wide, weighs a whopping 18 tonnes and is made of plastic water bottles and rubbish collected from the Nile River. The unveiling marks the beginning of a movement called the "100yr cleanup," an initiative led by zero-waste company Zero Co and wine company The Hidden Sea. It seeks to fund large-scale rubbish clean-ups for the next 100 years and drive accountability for the single-use plastic problem.

Today By-elections are being held on 8 National Assembly seats, earlier elections were supposed to be held on 12 NA Assembly seats out of which one was vacated when Makhdoom Zain Qureshi from Multan left his NA seat to fight MPA election against PMLN candidate Salman Naeem in much hyped and important July 17 by-elections which helped PTI to make government in Punjab.
