NEW TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY: ITA ENANG IS A POLITICAL CRISIS CONTRACTOR - GROUP
A research and advocacy group, The Mandate Eyes has described Senator Ita Enang as a crisis contractor and fifth columnist who benefits tremendously from rifts and rancorous situations - using same for political gains.
The group has therefore advised him to stop fanning the embers of disunity in the state and apply caution in his public communications.
In a statement by Dr Uwemedimoh Umanah, its Director of Public Communications,
the group citing several reason, believes that "Ita’s underlying motive is to create ethnic divisions, inter- group acrimony and bad blood between different groups and personalities in the state using propaganda as a tool, with the sole aim of benefiting from it. This underscores what Gil Courtemanche meant when he said that “propaganda is as powerful as he**in; it surreptitiously dissolves all capacity to think”.
The Mandate Eyes said it was the "height of misinformation and misrepresentation of facts and reality for Ita Enang to claim the glory for the approved federal university, when in actuality, he knows nothing about the ideas and efforts which crystallized in the approval."
"Rather, the person who deserves commendation for the approval of a university for the state is Governor Udom Emmanuel. The reason isn’t far fetched: he has provided the requisite atmosphere and development catalysts for investments and projects of this magnitude.
"Secondly, the ongoing revolution in the education sector by the state Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel has led to a total upgrade and provision of education infrastructure which have made the state a safe haven for investments and projects.
"Therefore, for Ita Enang to prevaricate that he played any role in the siting of the Federal University is not only misleading, but a distortion of available facts.
