Our brilliant student, Ashmal Vayani, from the 19th batch of the Karachi Campus, along with his team members Hasnain Somani and Abdul Samad, has achieved recognition in Hong Kong. They are representing FAST-NUCES Karachi and Pakistan at the grand APICTA Awards ceremony. Their project, developed for the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), under the supervision of our campus director Mr. Muhummad Atif Tahir, has been shortlisted for the People's Choice Awards.

A delegation of FAST-NUCES comprised of Dr. Rashad Ramzan, Head IC Design Lab, Dr. Tariq Khan, HoD, EE, Islamabad Campus, Dr. Waseem Ikram, Registrar, NUCES and Dr. Aftab Maroof, Rector NUCES visited the GSME IC Design Training Centre, Muscat, Oman. On 11th January, 2024 an online meeting was held between Abyss Solutions and FAST-NUCES ORIC. In this meeting, discussion was made on different Research and consultancy projects. It was agreed that a MOU will be signed between two organizations and after that Abyss Solution will share the list of the Projects with FAST-NUCES,
This list will serve as a foundation for further discussions and will enable FAST-NUCES faculty and researchers to assess the feasibility and alignment of these projects with their academic and research goals.

A MOU signing ceremony was held at FAST-NUCES Headquarters on 12th October, 2023. The MOU was signed between NUCES and HAMK (Hame University of Applied Sciences Finland). Rector NUCES, Dr. Aftab Maroof and HAMK President signed the MOU. In this MOU both Parties agreed to collaborate in the areas of Research, Student and Staff mobility, etc. The event was graced by Dr Sadia Nadeem, Head, FAST School of Management, Islamabad Campus and Dr Asif Naeem, Director ORIC.

The IEEE xtreme scoreboards, as teams from FAST Karachi and Peshawar achieved major success in the 24 hour event. They took up almost every top ten position in Pakistan and some of our teams from Peshawar Campus have made it to top 100 positions worldwide and will receive awards for their incredible achievements.

Exciting collaborations are on the horizon! On the advice of Mian Muhammad Mansha, a productive meeting between FAST-NUCES and MCB took place at the FAST-NUCES Head Office. From MCB, Usman Hassan Group Head - HR, Faisal Anwar, Chief Information Officer, and Sauood Sadiq, Division Head Learning and Development met with Rector, Dr. Aftab Maroof, Registrar, Dr. Waseem Ikram and Internal Auditor, Abdur Rehman Kadhar to discuss co-working spaces between both institutions, industry tours for faculty and students, collaboration through financial assistance, and plans to work together through research and innovation, empowering our students and faculty.

FAST-NUCES signed an MoU with INNOVENTURES pvt ltd and FAANA about launching an AI Accelerator program within FAST-NUCES, Rector, Dr. Aftab Maroof signed the MoU alongside Founder/Managing Partner, Innoventures Global, Dr. Athar Osama. This program will involve both faculty and students in developing AI prototypes for the industry.

A meeting was held between FAST-NUCES and Namal University Mianwali in FAST-NUCES Islamabad campus on 30th Nov-2023. In this meeting Different HODs of Namal and FAST University participated.
The Meeting was chaired by the Islamabad Campus director (Dr. Waseem Shahzad and Dr. Tassadaq Hussain from Namal University. In this meeting it was agreed that both Universities will collaborate in the Research & Consultancy Projects. Also both will support each other in the Entrepreneurship and startups.
