Astra update!

The 45th Weather Squadron, part of Space Launch Delta 45, has shared the L-2 days weather forecast for Astra's Tropics-1 mission.

The launch day window which opens at Sunday, June 12, 2022 10:00 AM and closes two hours later, at Sunday, June 12, 2022 12:00 PM currently has a 50% chance of violating weather constraints at the start and increasing to 80% chance of violating weather constraints at the end.

A 24 hour delay with the same launch window has a 30% chance of violation at the start of the backup launch window, increasing to 50% violation at the end of the window.

Astra is now targeting NET June 12 for NASA TROPICS-1 mission pending launch license issuance from the FAA!

Another Raptor 2 engine has been transported to the Megabay, likely for install on Booster 7.
Configuration of this raptor (Center or Boost) is currently unknown.

SpaceX starship update!

Latest Flyover of Starship/SpaceX facilities at Cape Canaveral in Florida

- No new segments are being built, instead hardware like handrails and elevator shafts are being added to the already assembled segments. Tower Segment #5 is already getting the intial hardwork for the attachment of the Quick Disconnect Arm.

- Right Next to the Tower Segments, the GSE hardware is being assembled.

- Foundation is being prepared for the Florida High Bay

- As updated before, all six legs of the OLM are up, and most importantly a crane base is right next to the Tower Base, indicated that the crane required for assembling the Tower is going to begin assembly very soon. Also the Tower Base also seems to be cured, with work on full swing on the draw-work assembly.
