Released 38 years ago this month, P*e Wee's Big Adventure was the directorial debut of Tim Burton when he was just 25 years old. Written by Paul Reubens and Phil Hartman and several others, we're screening this cult classic from August 18th-20th!

Special screenings tickets go at a flat rate of $12. You can grab tickets in person at the box office at 644 Massachusetts, open every day from 1pm-9pm. Our Main theater is our most accesible, with a ramp to the floor with tables and chairs, or you can go up the stairs to the balcony for more traditional theater seating. The little theater is only accessible by stairs. Please remember to close the curtains behind you should you get up and leave during the show. Thanks, we hope to share a movie with you soon!

Is the depression setting in now that Barry, Succession, Ted Lasso, Somebody Somewhere, Dave, and many other tv shows are ending (!) or ending for the summer? Go see a movie: Blackberry and Polite Society are fantastic and should still be in a theater somewhere!

I was lucky enough to work on putting together some shows from a group I remember reading about back in the day on Lawrence.com. Seemed like they had a cool thing going, and it was obvious they were ultra-talented. Somehow I became close friends with one of them years later, and hopefully seeing these on his birthday brought back some good memories.

Don't get your family member another t-shirt (like we always do), give them something they can enjoy over and over...

Folks! I have uploaded a copy of the mythical short-film, A Day At Downs Schools (filmed on Beta-Max in 1981). If you went to school in Downs in the 70s, 80s, or 90s, there may be some grainy faces and places you recognize from that era. Had to get creative to run some 400ft reels through the digitizer, but in the end, it was all good. Enjoyed doing some work for an old friend

And I’m back…after two years out of commission (with a house fire and loss of all equipment in there somewhere), I am back to the business of digitizing old 8mm film reels and VHS cassettes. So dig those out, and let me take them off your hands to create easy-to-share files of your best memories on vintage equipment. If you live in the KC metro area, I would gladly come to you to pick up what you have; if you live farther away…we can work something out! Prices are 8$ for every standard 50 ft 8mm reel—15$ for everything over that. 10$ for a VHS conversion…all made into easy-to-share mp4 or avi files. Message me if you have any questions!!
