I actually look forward to cooking these every year! I grew up with this tradition and so it’s nostalgic! ❤️
I slow cook with a ham hock, or salt pork (whatever is avail) bayleaves, cloves of garlic, and various spices.
I serve with ham, homemade honey cornbread and fried potatoes.

Five Great Tips for New Year! 🎉
You know people make resolutions, lists, goals… But once a year I do these five
things…
1. Clear out and unsubscribe unwanted emails. You know we all do it! Subscribe to get that great discount for holiday deals!
Just gets to be too much sometimes!
2. Go through sock drawer, toss any socks with holes or missing mates
3. Go through spices. Toss ones that are expired. Combine if two of something. Or, take small bits left of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and combine to create a "house seasoning". This year I got
all matching glass jars with easy read labels. Makes my cabinet look tidy and neat. And has made it so much easier to
pull seasoning when I cook and not having to search through different containers.
4. No brainer but, purge clothes….. stuff that
hasn't been worn in the last year, donate it. Chances are if you haven’t worn in that time, probably not going to wear it.
5. Go through medicines, OTC meds and check exp. dates.
Side note: If expired don't flush down the toilet. check with
your pharmacist… the will usually accept your old bottles of pills or advise where/how to dispose properly.

My outdoor Christmas arrangements this year! #christmas #outdoorchristmasdecor #outdoorwinterdecor #red #cardinals #redcardinals

Remember my Ornament arrangement with the Cardinal? Above it, I placed this “It’s a Wonderful Life” sign… but it needed a little something. So, I placed two cardinals, one at bottom of the picture and one on top. Perfectly tying all the cardinals together on the fireplace mantels

You know how I live to use Cardinals in my Christmas floral arrangements! I wanted to show how I used them in other ways too! And so easy! Here, I placed atop a lantern with flameless candle. Brightens and warms the space. Also, I tipped the greenery and pinecones with white paint to help lighten the space 🎄

This would be a great recipe for Thanksgiving too! Delish!!! 🍏

Here’s a throw back! 🎄 2020! Still a good idea! Individually wrapped candy canes, served on a D Tree tray tied with DT ribbon ribbon.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. 🎄

It’s so windy and cold here today!!! 🍂. Bunnie has not wanted to move around much! I think it hurts his ears. So I put hay and fresh food close to his shed. He came right out, well half in, half way out! He’s staying covered! Too cute!! 💙🐇
