On this date, the world stood still as Juan Manuel Marquez knocked out Manny Pacquiao with a counter right straight in the sixth round of their fourth fight.

On December 8, 2012, the long-standing rivalry between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez came to a dramatic and decisive end.

As "Pac-Man" set up his signature double jab-straight left combination, Marquez slipped under and delivered a powerful right hand to the Filipino's chin. Pacquiao's head snapped back violently, and he crashed to the canvas face-first.

Ringside HBO commentator Roy Jones Jr. urgently called out over his broadcast partner Jim Lampley, "He's not getting up, Jim! He's not getting up, Jim! He's not getting up!" To which Lampley responded, "No, he's been knocked out!"

Marquez's stunning victory was recognized by numerous media outlets, including The Ring Magazine, as 2012's Knockout of the Year.

16 years ago, Manny Pacquiao turned his naysayers into believers with a one-sided drubbing of Oscar De La Hoya.

On December 6, 2008, Manny Pacquiao achieved one of his most high-profile victories by moving up to welterweight for the first time to face the legendary Oscar De La Hoya.

The then-WBC lightweight champion delivered a dominant performance, stunning both fans and analysts who had expected a win for "The Golden Boy." The bout was stopped at the start of the ninth round when De La Hoya and his corner threw in the towel.

Eighteen years ago, Manny Pacquiao's superstardom skyrocketed further as he emphatically ended his rivalry with Erik Morales in their trilogy bout.

On November 18, 2006, Manny Pacquiao brought his fierce rivalry with Erik Morales to a definitive close in their third showdown at the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada.

Much like their second meeting, "Pac-Man" unleashed his ferocity on the Mexican warrior, flooring Morales in the second round before sending him to the canvas twice more in the third.

With just three seconds left in the aforementioned frame, Morales succumbed to the onslaught, choosing to wave the white flag, marking the end of their epic trilogy.

Today marks a significant day in Philippine boxing history, as 14 years ago, Manny Pacquiao defeated Antonio Margarito to claim the vacant WBC super welterweight championship, becoming the sport's only eight-division titleholder.

On November 13, 2010, Manny Pacquiao made history as the first boxer to win world titles in eight different weight classes.

"Pac-Man" achieved this milestone by claiming the vacant WBC super welterweight championship in a 150-pound catchweight bout against Antonio Margarito.

Over the course of 12 rounds, the Filipino fistic sensation dominated the matchup, using his superior speed and technique to overwhelm the Mexican slugger. He etched his name into the boxing record books before a roaring crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
