"When i shot this series couple of months back I never would have imagined that the idea behind it will become so current. Healing through stillness.
I have always been inspired by Japanese aesthetics that is focused on minimalism and observational stillness. Watching life as a calm observant and letting growth and change happen from within.
The project is called "Heal" and it is based around idea of how stillness can more often than activity prompt emotional healing and inner growth. Last year there was a period in my life which was extremely difficult emotionally and I felt for the first time that I am losing control over how my life is developing.
At that time I have decided to stop for a second. To stop the rush, the chase, the pressure. I have given myself time to just be. And it has done to me something close to a miracle. I felt I have found myself again, my roots, my values. I rediscovered what I am and want to be. I have forgiven. I have healed.
Stillness may not be what current society promotes, but it is a remedy we ought to give ourselves to not just patch the emotional wounds and anxieties but to truly heal them.
