560. The myth of Dangun
A long time ago, Hwanung, the son of Heaven, ruled the people. There lived a tiger and a bear that wished to become humans, so they prayed everyday to Hwanung. Hwanung called them and gave them garlic and mugwort. He said to them "you can become a human if you eat only garlic and mugwort for 100 days in a dark cave." The tiger gave up after a little while, but the bear stayed in a cave alone. Surprisingly, she became a beautiful woman after 21 days. Hwanung took her as his wife and she gave birth to a son. They named him Dangun. He grew up and established a country, Gojoseon. It was the first kingdom of the Korean history.
