👋🏾 We’re baaaack and officially on the hunt for submissions for issue 2! 

This year’s theme is ‘Recovery’.😮‍💨🤕💊

Tough times must come to an end and food can be the comfort you need to get through them. We’re looking for recipes, articles, photographs, illustrations, interviews, poems and more to be included in our second print issue. 

The theme is up for creative interpretation and we’re super excited to see what you come up with 🎉🎉

Exploring over 23 touching, relatable and humourous stories that evoke the issue's theme of Nostalgia, as well as giving Black and Minority Ethnic people across the globe a platform to share their communal love of food.

Lockdown was a tough time for us all, but looking through family photos, old videos and reminiscing happier times with loved ones helped many find a small glimmer of hope in all the chaos. Combining this with a love for food is how the Nostalgia issue was born.

“Utilising vintage food packaging and old catalogues, I love to reflect on how society has visually changed over time and continues to do so.”

Sabah Foster is a London born collage artist and collector with a passion for found imagery. Nostalgia is a driving force is her work; from the use of old imagery to the very practice of working in analogue. Collecting stickers, packaging, postcards, cut-outs and fabric and repurposing them in her art is how Sabah celebrates nostalgia and sentiment.
