“Representing Afromation at the Earthshot Prize Youth Programme has been an incredibly enriching experience that leaves me hopeful for the future of our planet and our humanity. Connecting with young leaders, climate innovators and passionate individuals from across the African and Asian continents has reminded me of the immense creativity, resilience and collective power we have as youth. Our voices matter and our work, our ideas, our dreams are important. I am mostly grateful for the opportunity to learn and seed new friendships. I leave knowing I am part of a community of young people with a shared purpose: the making of a world where all, planet and people thrive.” 💚🌟🦋

A big thank you to and and all who made this gathering of inspiring people and change shifters possible.

We want to respond to COVID-19 and share stories of how youth in South Africa experience the outbreak of this new virus.

What are your fears, thoughts, or concerns? How does it affect you? How do you cope? Use your voice, writing, poems, pictures or video to “tell it as it is”.

We believe in the power of storytelling and imagery to create change. Usually we do this through a photo story comic, but with COVID-19 we had to change it up a bit. We are a team of creative thinkers who like to explore alternative ways to tackle issues we as youth face in South Africa.
