A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS.
8:10 PM Radar Update. The main line of storms (in western Illinois) is setting up to impact our area in the next couple of hours. That line is currently producing storm warnings, including a tornado warning for the Salem, IL area.
Midnight radar update... the main line of rain had exited the area. A few scattered showers can't be ruled out overnight. Our gages recorded 2.44 inches of rain on Friday, added to the 0.92 inches on Thursday that gives us a total of 3.34 inches. Certainly there were higher totals throughout the area.
11 PM Radar Update... the end of the rain is in sight.
