Heather Doshay - Career Defining Moments
One of the reasons I was so excited to have my friend and former colleague, Heather Doshay, on the OtherWise Insights podcast was because I know first-hand how amazing she is at recognizing other people's strengths and helping them find the best place to utilize them.
"Spotting Talent" was the perfect topic for her and it was fun to hear her compare her experience as VP of People at Webflow with Ryan Leake's experience as a baseball scouting supervisor for the Houston Astros.
Check out what else Heather has to say on episode 7 of OtherWise Insights wherever you listen to podcasts.

Part 2 of the "Asking Good Questions" episode is live on the OtherWise Insights Podcast. I *loved* this topic and @wunder_travel and @ripleywriter were fantastic guests with great tips.
This is an episode I think everyone can benefit from, whether or not you're interested in leadership. Asking good questions, listening, and curiosity are critical skills for all of us, especially the more divided we become in our opinions and perspectives.
As journalist and best-selling author Amanda Ripley says in the clip below, there is actual research showing what happens when people feel heard, and the impact this can have on our conversations and understanding of each other.

Holly Coombs - Adapt
Holly Coombs was one of the youngest ever Production Stage Managers on Broadway. It was fascinating to listen to her talk with Venture Capital partner David Hornik about rolling with the punches.
When things go wrong in a live show, you have to figure out how to adapt quickly so that the audience still has a good experience. What struck me about this episode was the importance both Holly and David place on having a team that complements your skills in order to keep things running smoothly.
