What is Christmas?
Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Observed December 25 by Christians and others around the world, Christmas is a Holiday that combines religious and cultural traditions, and is celebrated by billions of people from myriad backgrounds.
Christmas is based on the Nativity of Jesus, which describes His birth in Bethlehem to the Virgin Mary. The story is recounted in the New Testament, with Angels proclaiming Jesus' birth to shepherds, who then spread the word.
Over time, Christmas has evolved to include various customs and traditions which include:
Church Services: Attending special church gatherings
Decorations: Adorning homes with lights, trees, and ornaments
Music and Carols: Singing festive songs and hymns
Special Meals: Enjoying traditional holiday cuisine
Gift Giving: Exchanging presents with loved ones
And much, much more.
Christmas is also a time for family and friends to come together, reconnect, and create new memories. Its significance extends beyond its religious roots, representing a time for kindness, generosity, and joy.
Christmas is all of these things.
And all of these things are good.
However, let us hold dearest the most important reason for this most auspicious of occasions - the celebration of the Birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please keep Christ in CHRISTmas.
May this Christmas bring Peace, Love & Joy to your loved ones wherever they may be.
To all of our Rowena Family and Friends, Merry Christmas. 🎄

And to all, a good night.
