Yep, I’m talking to you girl, the one with brown skin.
The one who is so frustrated that they gave the job to a guy.
The one who’s kids are driving her nuts!
The one who just can’t seem to make a round roti.
The one who sometimes feels like the whole world is working against her! Oh wait, that is all of us.
Here is my advice to you, stiffen up that upper lip, maybe scream a little, fix your chunee, and try again.
Because in reality, we are all going through the same thing, and the only thing that will get us through is perseverance.
That’s all for now beautiful,

At first, its make piping hot chai, then, by the time it cools down to normal person temperature, it’s “I feel like having some more chai”. 🤣 Actually, the reason brown people like drinking chai so much is the conversation it brings, and the time we spend together. The chai is just an excuse, it is how we show our love. 💜 How many times does your family drink chai in a day? Comment below and tag someone you love drinking chai with, family, friend, or even foe!

S1: Courageous Conversations
Ep2: The Stigma Of Mental Illness
We are so excited to welcome Gen Desi on Instagram, Dr. Pree Rangan, to our show this week! Dr. Pree is a cancer researcher based in Milan, who shares with us her very personal and touching story of growing up with a mom who has an undiagnosed mental illness. Please give her some love and support as she shares her heart with us in this Courageous Conversation.
"I created this space to document my memories, experiences, trials and tribulations, as a second gen desi growing up in the US."
I grew up in a household with a undiagnosed, schizophrenic mother. I have experienced an eating disorder and depression, which I initially developed at 18 years old.
As a South Asian woman, I have realized over the years that discussions on mental health in the community were non-existent. There is more awareness of these topics versus what has been seen in the past, but there are still many myths and opinions that need to be debunked.
Mental health, in regards to resources, spotting the signs, and self-care is a highly critical topics that needs to be addressed in the context of the SA community."
