Nobody starts this business because they have the time, they start because they want to create more time.

When I began my online journey nearly a year ago, I was a full time stay at home mum to two little ones while my husband worked long hours away from home.

Time was a luxury I couldn't afford, but I knew that if I didn't change something, nothing would change.

So, amidst the whirlwind of motherhood, I started my online business. I squeezed work into every spare minute, and within a year, we transformed our lives.

My husband left his job, and now we travel Australia full time with our kids, waking up each day to choose our adventures.

As I sit here in the car on another travel day, I’m reflecting on the preparation that I’ve been doing coming up to my Freebirth and particularly my postpartum.

For my last 3 births, I never honoured my postpartum the way I believe you should now, so this time around I’m making it extra special.

One of the biggest things that I am doing to prepare for my postpartum is building my online business. I want my business to be at a place where we have an abundance of money coming in passively so that I am able to be present and rest with ease as we welcome our new baby and settle into becoming a family of 5.

I have already begun putting things in place for a postpartum doula, meals to be cooked and brought to us, community to hold me, and gathering supplies that I may need.

Having my business to support us brings a sense of peace, knowing that I will spend the first 40 days completely nourished, with my family, and abundant as we do so.

If I had of listened to my husband, we would still be stuck in a life that didn't resonate with our dreams.

My husband wasn't on board with the business model I believed in.

Despite his doubts, I knew deep down that this was my path.

So, I took matters into my own hands, I found the resources, learned the ropes while balancing family responsibilities, and built a business from scratch.

Now, seeing the success and impact of my business, my husband is my biggest supporter.

He's witnessed firsthand how this business has transformed our lives, and his support and gratitude is abundant.

This journey taught me the power of staying true to my vision, pushing through doubts, and creating a life aligned with our dreams.

I am living proof of what can happen when we trust our instincts and pursue our passions despite challenges.

Today, I am overflowing with gratitude for the amazing community within my online business.

These incredible women have become my soul sisters, walking alongside me on this journey, sharing the same dreams and goals, and supporting each other wholeheartedly.

I can't express enough how much their support means to me.

It's amazing to think about how far we've come together. I've had the privilege of meeting some of these wonderful women face to face, even flying to New Zealand to connect with a group from my team.

These in person connections have added such depth and richness to our community.

I truly believe that I wouldn't be where I am in my business without the support of these women.

Their encouragement, insights, and shared experiences have been invaluable.

Today, I had the most wholesome realisation, it finally hit me,

We've achieved our dream.

18 months ago, something sparked within us, pushing us towards a major life change.

Now, as I sit on the beach on a sunny Thursday morning in Queensland, building sandcastles and splashing in the waves with my family, it's hit me that our dream has become a reality.

The journey to this point wasn't smooth. We faced uncertainties, "what ifs," and leant into the unknown, relying solely on our intuition. It was perseverance, dedication, and trust that lead us here.

Though it was challenging and filled with hard work, the rewards are endless.

I'm so fu***ng proud of the life we've created, a life where every day holds anticipation, where we decide what we do with our time, whether it's family time, having 1 on 1 time with our children, or indulging in self care.

This is true freedom.

I’m creating a reality where I am free from limiting beliefs.

As a pregnant mother of two, my days are filled with caring for my children while my husband heads off to work, and finding time for myself seems impossible.

Moments of stillness and opportunities for self care are few and far between.

That's on of the very big reasons why I ventured into online work, I craved more time and space for myself.

I knew that by prioritizing self care, I could be the best version of myself for my family.

Tomorrow is a HUGE milestone for my family and I, it’s my husband's last day of work.

He's chosen to join me in full time parenthood, thanks to the opportunity provided by my online work.

With him by my side, I'll have more moments for self care entwined into the rhythm of our daily lives.

Have you ever felt pressured to make a decision that didn't align with your instincts?

This week, I found myself in a conversation with a family member who insisted I get an ultrasound during my pregnancy.

Out of nowhere, they bombarded me with an overwhelming amount of "what ifs".

"What if it's twins? What if your due date is wrong? What if there's something wrong with the baby? What if your placenta is low lying?"

Their concerns, although well intentioned, felt more like scare tactics being used to coerce me into booking an ultrasound.

But I stood my ground.

With each concern, I calmly explained why an ultrasound wouldn't change anything for me or make me feel any more comfortable about birthing my baby.

I was mindful not to dismiss their worries but assert my autonomy and trust in my body's wisdom at the same time.

As the conversation unfolded, I watched as their arguments fell away, leaving them with no response.

In a moment of silence, they admitted, "I would just feel more comfortable if you had an ultrasound”.

And that's when it hit me.

"YOU would feel more comfortable? Well, it wouldn't change anything for me, so I'm not doing it."

In that moment, I realized something, I've spent too much of my life bending to the expectations of others, prioritizing their comfort over my own.

But not this time.

This pregnancy journey is mine. This body is mine. And every decision I make is for MY comfort, not for the comfort of others.

We need to celebrate autonomy, trusting our instincts, and standing firm in our choices - especially when they're met with resistance.

Because ultimately, it's our bodies, our babies, and our comfort that matter most.

🌛 Four Moons Pregnant 🌜

As the moon waxes and wanes, so too does my journey through pregnancy ✨

Four moons ago, I danced naked under the moonlight with my closest friends, unaware that you were already growing inside me🌙

Now, as I embrace the fourth moon of my pregnancy, the significance of the moon’s presence in this journey is undeniable, along with synchronicities that fill each day with wonder.

This past moon cycle has brought with it a mix of experiences and sensations:
🦋 the end of nausea, replaced by cravings for foods both new and nostalgic
🍄 restless nights and the struggle to find comfort in my growing body
🌈 the joy of feeling your first movements and witnessing my belly expand with your presence

With each passing day, the vision of where and how we’ll welcome you into this world becomes clearer. The anticipation of birthing and the postpartum experience fills me with excitement and gratitude as it slowly takes shape before my eyes.

My darling, every moment of carrying you in my belly is a precious gift, yet I find myself eagerly awaiting the day I get to hold you in my arms 🤰🏼
