https://isabancewicz.artstation.com/projects/3dwAA I've been recording Carmilla Vibes tonight with Madeline Potter, Theadora Jean and Daniel Kasper. Maddie shared a link of this fantastic illustration from the French edition. I thought I'd share this with y'all now!

As episodes won't be as regular due to PhD work, I was thinking about the special episode possibilities. Halloween will see the Dracula Vibes crew back for CARMILLA VIBES, but I was also remembering the suggestions for a Holmes episode. If anyone wants to consider joining a Holmes roundtable (maybe for Xmas or New Year??) let me know!

Hey everyone, so it's been quite quiet for the first part of 2023 - I had to take a break from my PhD back in November and now in the final 18 months of writing up. Then JOB STUFF happened and so it's been a bit hectic. However, I've finally cleared my recording backup this evening by editing the episode Tasha Booth-Johnson and I recorded in January, and I'll be uploading it tomorrow evening! Also, our wonderful Dracula Vibes guests decided to rope me into organising a Carmilla Vibes episode, so that will be happening for Halloween!

I'll be less frequent than last year in releasing episodes due to things like PhD, but I'm still eager to begin organising recordings with people as and when I can! So if you are a postgraduate researcher or academic in anything 19th century, or someone who has a keen interest in the period and has done things like writing, graphic design, martial arts (just to name a few examples of the non-academic guests we've had on!) Feel free to get in touch! The best way to contact is via email at [email protected]

Thanks for all of your support so far, it's been fantastic to meet so many speakers online (and some even in person!!)

It's been a while since I got an episode up or an update, due to health stuff. But tonight's episode was the last in the backlog of episodes I'd recorded! It's also one which is quite relevant in the current climate, with cost of living etc. Valentina was a joy to speak to, and I've added the suggestions she emailed me after the chat to the show notes. They're also in the blog post we refer to, "Let them Eat Nuggets", so for your reading pleasure, please find Valentina's excellent thoughts on Jamie Oliver and his School Dinners underneath the podcast link here:
