“Malo e lelei! I'm Tyler Latu'ila. I'm a Kiwi (New Zealander) of Tongan decent currently living in Toronto, Canada.

My travels as a volleyball athlete first brought me to Canada in 2015 where I played in the ACAC. More recently I played professionally in Mytilene, Greece, competing in the Greek Volleyball League.

'TALANOA' is a concept dear to Tongan culture. It can be literally translated to "talking about nothing". But it is deeper than that, it is an oral tradition that has passed down the stories, culture, and legacies of our people.

I hope to share that tradition with you as I converse in Talanōa with guests from around the world!”

What a beautiful night out. We met someone from 7 Stars Media (I hope I tagged the right group!) as they drove around looking for good to do. We helped them spread some cheer. We met a fellow who needed to get inside really quick to warm up his feet and we were able to help because of them! We love spreading the love.

“My name is Shalen Fox, I am from Sweetgrass First Nation, just outside of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I am a teacher at John Paul II high school and working as a Graduation Coach. Working with our Indigenous students in our high school and educating our non-Indigenous. I take pride in my journey of life, learning from my mistakes , and my journey has its ups and downs but it also shaped who I am today. We must remember the history of our ancestors, the present moment is to live for today but we must also prepare for the future and trying to find that balance of the struggles but also share our success stories is key of reconciliation.”

Congrats to on winning our Most Improved Male Athlete for 2020!

Shalen has been killing it recently, making great strides in his strength, gymnastics and endurance. Lately, he has mastered the dreaded double under and toes-to-bar. Two movements which we all know are very demanding and tricky to get a handle on. Shalen’s discipline, consistency and willingness to challenge himself are something we all can admire and strive towards.

In 2011, Tonia began producing Youtube videos as a means to "reach out to my people; teach them to smile, think positively, and spread laughter." She graduated from Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates, North Dakota with her B.A degree in 2014. Tonia is Lakota/Dakota/Hidatsa, a mother of two, and She’s been pursuing comedy full-time since 2014. Tonia brought her comedy to the stage in 2011. Since then, she's been busy producing videos, motivational speaking, doing stand-up comedy at various casinos, celebrations, and events throughout the world.

We’re super grateful and excited that Tonia Jo Hall has partnered with 7 stars to launch her podcast “Tea With Tonia” 🙏🏽❤️

Hailey Rose is a 17 year old student from North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Her roots are from Mosquito Grizzly Bears Head Lean Man First Nation and Red Pheasant First Nation. Rose is a mental health advocate, change maker and motivational speaker. She works under the Office of Treaty Commissioner, We Matter Campaign, Assembly of First Nations, and Battle Youth Network. Hailey was also the 2020 Junior Citizen of the year of North Battleford. She has taken on leadership roles fearlessly and speaks for those who don’t feel their voice is heard. With her dedication, she’s always had the mindset to positively change peoples lives and make Canada a better place.

So excited to Have Hailey partner with 7 Stars and launch her very own podcast,which we know will bring good vibes and hope for all! Stay tuned!
