Have you ever sold something that you hadn't even created yet?
I remember the first time I ever did a webinar, it was a Wednesday and my partner/mentor told me...
"Right, I want you to deliver a webinar on Friday"
"What?! But I've never delivered a webinar before! I don't even know how to set one up?!" I said
"Don't worry, I'll set it up, you just prepare it and deliver it Friday"
So, I had no idea what to teach, how to teach it or how to use the webinar platform... and I had 2 days until I went LIVE!
Talk about pressure! 😲
I quickly decided what to teach (I had no time to waste)
I frantically scribbled pages worth of notes!
Then scripted it all out naively thinking that I'll be able to just read from them during the live webinar 🤣🤣🤣
(Don't EVER try this! You end up answering a few questions in the chat box and the next minute you're panicking, searching through your 'Script' because you've lost where you were and then end up just winging it)
What I did still manage to do, was deliver a ton of value and I remained on the webinar answering questions a little longer than expected...
..3 hours later I'd just about wrapped it up!
I invited attendees to join me for more in-depth training over the following few weeks for an investment of $497 and made 33 sales!
Not bad for my first ever webinar!
Especially as I'd just sold training that I hadn't even started producing yet! 😆
I delivered the training and received some amazing feedback and not 1 refund request!
But I learned some very valuable lessons!
When you focus on something 100% with no distractions, you get stuff done!
LIVE webinars can be very stressful, you can experience technical issue and you get asked a ton of questions that can distract you and send you off course.
You need more time to structure the webinar, practice it and perfect your offer and pitch (last thing you want to do is spend hours doing a live webinar and then fumble your words at the most important part!)
Since then, I found a way of structuring and delivering the perfect webinar! Without worrying about technical issues, forgetting what to say or attempting to read from a script!
I simply create the perfect structure and script, create the slides and make an unbelievable offer with a smooth non-salesy pitch.
All without panicking or rushing to get things done before the webinar starts and the best part is... I don't even need to be there to deliver the webinar!
I could even be asleep and still be making sales from my webinars! 🛌
The secret is to use automated webinars!
