Tonight at 9pm for your listening pleasure we have my first guest mix of the O R I G I N series Dušan Gargurevich]

When digging for a previous show I found some of Dušan Gargurevich] tunes, thought they slapped and had to have him on. He was also kind enough to have me on his mix series 🤝

Fueled by curiosity, the ever evolving electronic music scene is the ideal place for Brooklyn based Dj & producer Dusan G. NYC’s musical heritage and fast paced lifestyle make finding inspiration a daily occurrence that is reflected in Dusan’s sound.

Not following what’s hot, but rather creating something new and true seems to have been the recipe for Dusan’s recent success. With a #1 Release on Beatports Minimal/ Deeptech chart to start off the year, as well as another top 10 spot on his second release Dusan G is showing no signs of slowing down.

However, despite spending most of his time in the studio these days, Dusan’s first love & home is in the DJ booth. Playing in Brooklyns underground circuit since 2018, Dusan has taken the same approach selecting as he does in the studio; play what you love! This has led him to becoming an sos records resident DJ and playing iconic venues such as TBA bk.

In 2021 Dusan G took his love for house music a step further & founded “No Borders bk,” his own musical collective that has successfully started a mix series & thrown parties both in NYC and abroad showcasing house musics up and coming generation of talented artists.

He has managed to play across the east coast of the United States, all while releasing on some of the minimal world’s most sought after labels. Luke Nash is a 22 year old Peruvian DJ and music producer focused on Tech House. He began to venture into the world of electronic music from the age of 13. He has managed to sign his music in prominent labels of the scene as blanc, Be One, Safe Music, Armada Music, Cocoa, Happy Techno, Distortion and more, experimenting in his productions with groove and electro sounds. His latest single "Los Santos" released on Be One Records with Arzenic has reached the #8 spot on Beatport's Top 100 Tech House Hype chart.
In his career, he has been featured on radio stations such as BBC Radio 1Xtra (UK), KISS FM (UK), Radio 538 (NL), SiriusXM (Worldwide), LOS40 Dance (SP), FUN Radio (FR), NRJ (NL) and support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Miguel Bastida, Stefano Noferini, Detlef, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Yaya, Lexlay, Robbie Rivera, among others.

This week on my Minimalistic Tendencies radio show I’ve got

Jeff Sorkowitz is an artist who knows how to take risks.  None has been greater than the risk Jeff took when he decided to hang up his suit and walk away from a five-year career as a corporate attorney to pursue a full-time career as a DJ and producer.  With great risk, of course, comes great reward – and Jeff’s career thus far has been extremely rewarding.

As a DJ, Jeff has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in house and techno.  In the last year alone, Jeff has played support for Jamie Jones, The Martinez Bros, Loco Dice, Green Velvet, Solardo and many more, as well as featured slots at Elrow at the Brooklyn Mirage, Elements Festival and club sets around New York, Miami and elsewhere in the States.

As a producer, Jeff has released on Hedzup, Andhera, Black Sea Side, Push and more, with upcoming releases on Deeperfect, Distance Music, Materialism and Space Invaders.  Jeff is most proud of being the label head of Brooklyn-based Short Circuit, as well as founder of the events series and collective of the same name.

Coming this afternoon is a show I’m so proud to be hosting.

An introduction to OUTSET.

Tomorrow night sees the launch of .edinburgh first night. It’s a huge deal for us as a collective to be putting together this night.

As of last night we took on a bigger venue to launch from to facilitate a much higher demand in tickets. So any of yous that were caught sleeping have got a chance to get involved!

HOWEVER, we have secured a bigger venue at The Liquid Rooms in room two to facilitate demands. This allows us to throw an even bigger party

This week on my radio show is a particularly special one for me.

My good mate steps up. Slikk was the man who had the patience to show me how to mix in the first place and I’ve spent many an hour honing with him over the years.

Here’s a bit about him;

Its the year 2007, He finally slid onto the scene with the deep dark bouncy beats of House and techno from influencers such as Derek carter, DJ Sneak, Kerri Chandler to name but a few, giving him the passion to define and develop and carve his own unique sounds whilst still trending with the ever-changing sound of the ambient techno movement and underground house.

List of residencies include FUSE Edinburgh and Selektrance Edinburgh,

Clubs played in the Edinburgh & Glasgow area Liquid Rooms, Soundhuas, Cabaret Voltaire The Mash House, Club Berlin,

Supported DJ’s Kissy Sellout, Eats Everything, Jackmaster and Zombie Nation to name a few.

Back when life was free and no passports were needed to take you on a furious flight, a musical journey, just the sounds of exhilarating and familiar beats.

It’s class to be part of something with people who have a love and passion for the same sound.

When I first heard sounds from the likes of I knew there was no going back and I’m dying to share this sound and all the artists and performers who represent it.

Today I’ve got an all originals guest mix from my man across the pond

Every track on here is a Ken Kelly original making it a really special show for me. He’s got a whole pile of releases in the pipeline that, if you’re into your minimal you’ll be hearing all over. Here’s a bit about him;

The cornerstone to Ken Kelly’s “deep tech for your summer soul” brand resides in his lush and lounge-y approach to the dutch minimal deep tech sound. From Bhutan and based in Brooklyn, Ken’s rise in the Brooklyn scene came swiftly as the freshman act’s releases during lockdown carried him into a slew of bookings with the re-opening of clubs in 2021. Ken’s background producing and writing R&B allows him to bring a new dimension to what is typically a very underground genre of music and set him apart as an artist carving a new path, pushing a new sound.

Ken’s debut EP “Close To You” on Andhera records was awareded the #1 release on DJ mag’s deep tech chart last September beating out releases on Heavy House Society, HedZup, and Bo***ge Music to name a few. He followed up with a slew of releases on staples in the minimal deep tech scene such as Rawsome Deep, Swerve Digital, and Whoyostro.
