Do Schools/Learning Communities Need a Curriculum?

2. Da Vinci Life-Skills
Rosina Dorelli is the co-founder of the Alliance (BE All), which has created a holistic curriculum called Da Vinci Life-Skills. Rather than traditional , they offer in five ‘real-world’ projects. It is currently being piloted in Bali, Bermuda and Cambridgeshire, UK.
3. Consent-Based,
Sophie Christophy is an / , and co-founder of consent-based, self-directed learning communities, The Cabin and the Lodge on the Hertfordshire/Essex border, UK.
It could be easy to assume that there’s no curriculum at all in settings like these, but Sophie will talk about the “hidden curriculum” and invite us to question what a curriculum actually is, as the culture and values in SDE/CBE spaces are very much intentional components of each young person’s experience.
