To tackle the worsening Lorry and HGV driver shortage, will the government scrap current legislation and allow newly qualified drivers to gain their HGV license?

Is this a step too far and inviting a multitude of issues?

Yodel to use vegetable oil as Diesel alternative.

Partnering with Certas Energy, the independent carrier will work to roll out the cleaner fuel across it’s shunter fleets at the Shaw, Hatfield and Wednesbury sorting centres.

This comes after Yodel backed researched in 2021 found that over 50% of consumers were conscious of the environmental impact of their deliveries.

Could this be a quicker and cheaper option for business looking to lower their carbon footprint with immediate effect, or are EV’s still the way to go?

After removing solely Russian sourced products from their shelves at the beginning of the War on Ukraine, Sainsbury’s have gone one step further and pledged to ban all Russian Diesel.

The ban will impact over 300 of the supermarket chain’s forecourts and is just the latest of the increased financial sanctions against Russia and Putin.

What does this mean for drivers across Britain? Was this always the next logical step or will this ban have disastrous effect on the already bleak state of petrol sourcing across the UK? 🤔

'Cab height' bins, launched by McDonald's to be introduced across UK service stations.

To combat roadside littering the 6 ft tall bins are being rolled out this summer to make it easier for truck, lorry and HGV drivers to put rubbish in when visiting service stations.
