Last year or the year before, I started reading more instead being on my phone as much or watching tv. I mostly try to read in the morning instead of looking at my phone first thing (helps to be more productive throughout your day 😉).

This year's reading goal is 12 books (I know, not a lot). I'm a slow reader, so 12 is a lot for me lol. The beginning of the year was a little rocky when it came to reading.

But this book? This book was #3 for the year and I could NOT put it down. I read this book in 15 days.... Obviously, that's quick for me lol. Before I was reading 1 book a month.

Looking for a comedy murder mystery with a splash of romance?

This book is for you honey 😍

No spoilers here. Not a single moment during this book was it slow going. It'll hook you right at the beginning.

It'll make you question whether you need to go work, because you NEED to keep reading (or maybe that's just me 😂).

Today, I'm relishing in the luxury of time, cherishing each passing hour as a precious gift amidst life's constant motion. Today was a reminder that life doesn't always go as planned. Despite my intentions to hit the gym bright and early, my body had other ideas, and I ended up sleeping in. Initially, I felt guilty for missing my workout, but then I realized that sometimes, what we truly need is rest.

In a world that glorifies hustle culture and constant productivity, it's easy to overlook the importance of listening to our bodies and honoring our need for rest. Today served as a gentle nudge to prioritize self-care and to be kind to myself, even when things don't go according to plan.

I'm back (ish). Trying to get back to posting on a regular basis. Life has been chaotic between work, home and personal life.

One thing my therapist has been telling me to do more of is be gentle with myself. I am so hard on myself and take just about everything personally.

I know I'm not the only one.

I know I'm not the only one that needs to hear this today either.

So this is your friendly reminder that peace starts with you. Find, create, restore, etc your peace. You deserve peace no matter what.

I struggle with positive affirmations. I am not nice to myself. So I got some positive affirmation cards.

I love these because on the back it gives you thought provoking questions to help you journal. While I haven't done today's questions, I am trying to find the meaning of the season I am currently in.

✨ MONDAY MOTIVATION ✨

Christmas is my favorite time of year. All the lights, love, cheer and quality time brings me so much joy.

This year is a little different. My feels are all over the place and making it harder to enough the season.

I know this too shall pass, but its hard not to soak in it. I'm a firm believer in feeling your feelings and understanding why you feel that way.

With that, there are still possibilities for me this season. A lot of lessons to be learned, obstacles to overcome and so much more.

Its the same for you too. It may be hard. It may be stressful. It may be overwhelming. You may feel like giving up. Please don't.

You can do hard things. You can learn new things. You can overcome hardships. The only thing holding you back is YOU. So don't let your negative talk win this season.

Cherish the little things. Embrace your loved ones. Take a break for your mental health. ❤

Name one thing you can’t live without… I’ll go first.

Q Core has been a lifesaver for me! I don’t talk about the products I take on a regular basis. I feel salesy and pushy. In all honesty though, I don’t think I would feel half as good as I do now if I wasn’t taking this product daily.

My IBS flare ups are nonexistent, I feel healthier and I sleep even better than I did before.

I used to think that taking vitamins/ supplements daily was something I would never be able to do… I’m so forgetful and if it is not right in front of my face, it doesn’t exist to me. But taking it one day at a time has truly helped make taking my supplements a lasting habit. My days just aren’t the same without them.

I don’t think I will ever go back to a day where I’m not taking these because they work that well!

Remember that scene in Elf where Santa’s sleigh would fly because there was a lack of belief? Belief that Santa existed…

Your mindset is the exact same. Lack of positive beliefs in yourself causes a lack of motivation, drive and happiness.

I used to think that happiness came from what was given to me - love, presents, respect, etc.

While those things help, that is not where it starts.

Yes, happiness is more than just “believing” you are happy. For me, I can tell myself I’m happy 24/7, but that makes it feel more like a mask than reality.

Realistically speaking, we all have good days and bad days. Technically, we can still be happy on both types of days. A bad day at work doesn’t mean life sucks and the world is ending.

Santa didn’t believe people wouldn’t believe in him again…. Even if it seemed like they never would.

Belief is a powerful tool to keep in your mental toolbox. So don’t stop believing… 😘

Things are getting hectic.

Life is getting stressful.

The feeling of wanting to be lazy and productive at the same is in full swing.

The gift list is forever growing 😭

🌻 MONDAY MOTIVATION 🌻

BALANCE.... What's that? Lol

As you've noticed, I've been a little MIA the past couple weeks. Work has been so crazy. Plus, my workout schedule and teaching dance... Its been a lot.

I have been so tired and barely functioning. Don't get me wrong, I love keeping busy, but a balanced life is not something I've mastered yet 😅

Balance could be viewed in many ways. From diet to quality time, finding balance is not an easy task. Not every day/week/month is going to be perfectly balanced. THAT'S OKAY! It doesn't have to be perfect all the time.

Work your butt off at the gym then eat that cupcake... Balance.

Put in overtime at work then go to bed at 9pm... Balance.

Trying is perfect enough ❤

Failure is another form of learning. Learning what went wrong, what needs improvement, how to get the win and so much more.

Changing your perspective can change a lose to a learn.

I would LOVE to say I've perfected this thought process. I need a lot of working in changing my mindset around failure. I mentally beat myself up for not doing better, being better and getting it right the first time....

I can be a sore loser because I don't want to be reason why things didn't workout. I tell myself I did all the things when I may not have.

My goal for this coming month is to work on my hatred for failure and not being perfect. Its clearly not helpful to my mental health 🙃

Probably the best last minute costume I'll ever come up with. Today was our annual office Halloween costume contest.

Last minute, I get a text from a coworker that she has this headband with a syringe on it. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a gentleman wearing a hospital gown with an oxygen tank and a sign saying "sick of these b****es."

So this is what I came up with. I had the pajamas already. A friend brought in the walker. I made the sign this morning. Tissues were already at my desk.

Make up is brown eyeshadow under my eyes (just thrown on lol) and bronzer on the cheeks. That's it.

The digital is not a fan of ASAPs, so it was very fitting. I got a lot of laughs but sadly did not win 😞

Still had fun being "sick" and having a reason to wear pajamas to work 😂

🌻 MONDAY MOTIVATION 🌻

Choosing peace any day is difficult. Its easy to see all the negatives. Its easy to justify the negative.

But why can't justifying the positive be just as easy? Or seeing the positive?

Choosing peace for yourself is the hardest thing for a people pleaser. Saying "no" may upset someone else which, in turn, upsets you. You take their discomfort personally.

Trust me, I understand.

I would do anything to help everyone else, wipe away their pain, take on their trauma, etc. I always forget about myself and my peace.

Every day is a new day to learn how to choose peace. I'm not saying you can't help others. That's important! But you need to be in peace with yourself to help others.

Choose peace today, tomorrow and every day after for you are worthy. ❤

Sunday was such a busy day but had a lot of fun with my munchkins.

We walked with .fitness in the Coopersburg Halloween Parade, then got rid in the back of the truck back to the car.

Needless to say they had a blast and the truck ride was their favorite part.

P.S. - They are wearing pjs that glow in the dark. They were telling everyone lol.

🌻 Monday Motivation 🌻

I'm sure you've noticed that I've been a little MIA the past 4-5 days. Between work and personal life, things have been so busy and I've been so overwhelmed.

I've always enjoyed staying busy. But lately, the want to do nothing has been so strong.

While I didn't take much of a break from doing things this past weekend, I did take a break from social media.

Let me tell you, sometimes a little break is all you need.

Whether it's a mini break at work, a night to yourself away from everyone, or escaping on a weekend getaway, its okay to take a break.

Goal for this week: slow down and take breaks when needed.

🌻WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY🌻

What I show and what I keep to myself are very different sides of me.

For those that don't know, I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have anger issues and ADHD as well. I self diagnosed my ADHD, but the signs are there.

I spent a lot of my life denying my anxiety and depression. Part of me wanted to believe I was being overdramatic.

Any time I'm not posting on social, there's a reason. Work, personal, family, ect. Not everything needs to be documented. I don't always have to post if I don't feel up to it.

But what I do need is to understand myself, accept myself and take care of myself. I need to make space for myself, set boundaries if needed, be kind to myself and more.

I don't say I need to do those things for anyone but me. That is part of my mental health.

Take yourself seriously. You're not crazy. You're not a bad person. You're not unworthy.

Your mental health is on of the few things you can control in this life. Do it for you love. ❤

🌻 Motivation Monday 🌻

The other day I was checking on my dad's garden while my parents were away and I was talking to the plants. Same with my mom's indoor plants while I was watering them.

I would ask them how they were doing. Tell them there was a spider on them. Silly stuff.

I told Cory I talk to the plants and he gave me a look. Half confused and half not surprised.

I started to laugh because I know that when you talk to plants, it helps them grow. I've always loved plants even if I can't keep them alive at the moment lol.

So if positive affirmations and silliness can help plants grow, why can't it help you?
