🌻MONDAY MOTIVATION 🌻

Since revealing that I am part owner of a dance studio a couple weeks ago, reality has been setting in little by little everyday.

This feeling that I will fail shows up randomly throughout the day... Everyday.

I find myself telling myself that I can do this and if it doesn't work out, then at least I tried.

That thought alone, gives me some peace... Keyword, some lol. Owning a business is stressful and anxiety driven, but I'm finding myself enjoying this journey.

I've tried other option in the past and something about being an owner of a dance studio feels like I've been placed right where I need to be. I find myself spending more time focused on the things that make this journey make sense.

Not the delusional affirmations I used to tell myself that had no confidence behind them.

These 4 affirmations have been part of my mindset pushing me through the negative thoughts even if for a little while. Because lets be honest, negative thoughts will always find a way to show themselves.

You are amazing. You are capable. You are strong. You are fierce. Don't you forget it!

The last 3 books I've read (the 3rd one I just finished this morning).

All 3 books were so good!

"A Talent for Murder" - finished in 3 - 4 weeks and loved it. Kind of shocking but I kind of figured it out and still thought it was nicely done.

"House of Glass" - finished in 2 weeks.... I don't always have a lot of time to read, so finishing this in 2 weeks says a lot about how I felt about it. I could not be 100% on the outcome, but I was pretty close!

"Like Mother Like Daughter" - 4 weeks. It only took me so long to finish because there was so much going on last month and when I had time to read, I played games on my phone instead. Its not that the book was captivating, I just wanted to do something that didn't require too much of my brain lol.

All in all, I highly recommend all 3 books. I try not to talk about the storylines because I WILL ruin it for you and that's no fun!

🌻 MOTIVATION MONDAY 🌻

I joined a 10 day challenge to help create a better morning routine last Monday. Started rocky, fell off Friday to Sunday, but was back at it this morning...

I will saying starting my day with some meditation, journaling, affirmations and the Mel Robbins podcast has been super helpful... Surprisingly.

I'm definitely one of those people that thinks that this stuff only works for other people.... Definitely not for me, right?

WRONG!

Its been so helpful that I've been on time for work since I started... Who knew 😂😂

So if all you do when you first get up is tell yourself ONE positive thing and name ONE thing you're grateful for, you are still setting yourself up for a great day. Then, repeat everyday. 🤗

Just finished this book yesterday. HIGHLY recommend.

I'm not that good at reviews, so all I can say is... Its worth the read and the end surprised me.

✨ Book Review ✨

Last year or the year before, I started reading more instead being on my phone as much or watching tv. I mostly try to read in the morning instead of looking at my phone first thing (helps to be more productive throughout your day 😉).

This year's reading goal is 12 books (I know, not a lot). I'm a slow reader, so 12 is a lot for me lol. The beginning of the year was a little rocky when it came to reading.

But this book? This book was #3 for the year and I could NOT put it down. I read this book in 15 days.... Obviously, that's quick for me lol. Before I was reading 1 book a month.

Looking for a comedy murder mystery with a splash of romance?

This book is for you honey 😍

No spoilers here. Not a single moment during this book was it slow going. It'll hook you right at the beginning.

It'll make you question whether you need to go work, because you NEED to keep reading (or maybe that's just me 😂).

Rating? ✨✨✨✨✨ (yes, 5 fancy stars because regular will not do!)
