God of right our battles fight
Be with us as of yore
Breakdown the barriers of might
We rev’ently implore

Stand with us in our struggles for the triumph of the right
And spread confusion over o’er the advocates of might

Let them know that righteousness is mightier than sin
That might is only selfishness
And cannot,ought not to win

Endow us, Lord with faithful and grace
And courage to endure, the wrongs we suffer here apace
And bless us forever more.

The city of Kingston was “captured" near dawn on Saturday by some 300 bearded men of the Rastafari cult, along with their women and children, At about 3.30 am, every market-goer saw members of the Rastafari Movement gathered in the centre of Victoria Park with black, green, and red banners, loudly proclaiming that they had captured the city.
