To my beautiful family, I hope you all are having an amazing Ramadan or month so far.For those who know I am celebrating Ramadan which is a holy month for Islam where we strengthen our relationship with God, a month of fasting, practicing gratitude, and giving to those in need. Before Ramadan I told myself I was going to do everything I possibly could in this month to be the "perfect Muslim" . I set too high of expectations for myself. This doesn't only go for muslims, this goes for all those practicing their faith. No matter what religion. We are human, we mess up, we aren't made for perfection and I feel like that's where we fail when getting closer to our faith because we think because we fall back into that bad habit, or the sin, that we aren't able to change, that God won't "forgive us" because we keep going back to it. When that isn't the case, we have to keep going back to God, no matter how many times you've fallen back into that sin, or even if you are going through hardship and lost faith. They are all blessings in disguise that are meant to bring you back closer to God. Continue to ask God to strengthen your faith and make it easy for you. May you have a blessed month of Ramadan, or blessed month to those who don't celebrate.🤍
